Try buying the small self adhesive rubber bumpers for cabinet doors but smaller, Amazon do a mixed size pack. Look for the contact points where the lid(s) sit and put a small bumper there, it puts a bit of tension into the lids when closed. I did this on my R1S LE and it stopped all noise plus...
It’s optional for body shops to register with Carfax, my local “high-end” body shop does not so if you have work done and don’t go through your insurance it will not show up. Its bad both ways, I had a Jaguar F Type SVR that my wife ran into a rock on a parking lot at 5 mph, smashed the front...
My R1S was terrible, hardly ever got cool and on Auto the fan speed never went to max even if it was 120 in the car and I had the air set to 70, I always had to manually adjust it up. The roof was also a big problem, felt like the top of my head was in an oven doorway with the oven on, a sun...
Also depends on where you live. I sold my R1S recently and ride quality was 70% of the reason, I’m in Colorado and the roads are terrible, went back to a Raptor as it’s the only vehicle I’ve owned here in CO that deals with the terrible potholes so you can drive without constantly making...
I may be wrong but it seems odd, I suspect fake probably AI as AI makes minor errors. On the photo below see the wood in the corner is completely unmarked yet everything behind it is charred and the fire was hot enough to melt car parts but doesn’t even singe this wood. If it’s genuine I...
Curious to know how you sold it as the truck has to be registered in the name of the reservation holder and valid insurance in reservation holder’s name has to be provided before sale.
I agree on the more fail points it was one of the appealing things about EVs however I’m on my fifth f150 Raptor with 120k miles between them and had one slight door adjustment and a handful of oil changes whereas 7,000 miles on my R1S has resulted in 8 days back at Rivian 4 days of lost work...
Well for me the gear tunnel is of little to no use, the rear seats don’t fold towards the rear creating a large flat open space which is perfect for dogs, drivetrain wise there are advantages and disadvantages to both.
I just bought a 24 F150 Raptor, it’s my fifth one, can’t fault them, ride is far better than R1S and it’s much better built inside and out , no rattles. I’ve had a lot of issues with my R1S , love it but I’ll probably sell and wait for them to refine build and other issues. I bought the Raptor...
I have very similar probably a bit worse and went through every fix I could thinks of. Fill it and wrap it is probably the most cost effective, I went with stealth PPF for $100 it doesn’t make it go away it just tones it down so it’s not quite as obvious.
I have an early VIN R1S and have had no issues. Kneel mode might seem sporadic as it will cancel if you open a door as it’s kneeling, if I wait it’s never failed.
I insure 5 vehicles with Liberty including R1S for $4k.
Ownership tax (plates)in CO is horrific I once paid well over $3k for a Mercedes AMG GT S. I’m in the process of taking them to court re. their refund/credit stance when you change vehicles.
Found a bluish green patch of oil under the front of my R1S today. I’ve raised a ticket but just wondered if anyone has had similar. It’s front passenger side in line with the tow hook about 1-1.5 feet under the car. Amount lost, a few mls. I’ve looked underneath and can’t see anything.
