Just installed the update and spent an hour playing with it. This "assistant" is horrible.
I asked "what can you do" and got 3 suggestions, 1 of which was "guess the song." I selected this option and the assistant explained that it would play a clip for me to guess. Each time, it just shuts...
You can't close any doors on my R1T without slamming them. Had the truck since October and we are still sitting on 2 times that either of the passenger doors closed fully on the first try...for anyone. Gear tunnel doors are so tight that if they do not close fully a 200lbs person throwing their...
I'm averaging 1.8 mi/kwh lifetime but it keeps dwindling down. Was 2.1 first 2 weeks I had it. Range estimate is static and never changes.
I would love to know how some of us have efficiency that is 50% less than others. I live in Texas so it's not cold temps and even D+ can't touch 1.9mi/kwh...
Same here. I reserved in 2019 and bypassed a LE to go with the Max Pack. Was never contacted about changing to move up nor have I received any invites to any First Mile Events. The latter part is the one that bothers me the most. Not sure what is holding that up.
Let's take it easy on the personal insults at RJ and Rivian here. Presumably this is necessary for viability. I don't like it either and it may be a nail in the coffin for many reservation holders, if not the brand, but that doesn't make it malicious or even incompetent.
Completely agree on...
Guess we got our answer. Rivian was just a massive cash grab. The founders got theirs, went public, will cash out (some already did) and will leave with no intention of actually selling large amounts of vehicles. No way people are sticking around to pay a 25% price gouge on top of what was...
I mentioned this to my wife the other day. The period between mass EV adoption and majority autonomous driving vehicle adoption is going to have some wicked accidents. Everyday drivers wielding vehicles that weigh 3 tons capable of accelerating at supercar speeds. Those senior citizens driving...
This exactly. There is current state and there is ideal state. What ideal state looks like is subject to debate. In this case, I have to think that however one defines the ideal state of communication at this stage of the game there is a huge gap between what we have now and what we ideally...
I think we often overlap the concern of deliveries/impatience and lack of communication. I know that at best I'm waiting until Jan for a max pack truck. That's fine. If it's June 2022, I will be restless, but accept that if it's worth the 91k of my configuration, it's worth the wait.
The...
At this point I hate to get my hopes up but we really are reaching the point where it's becoming cause for concern. We are very close to deliveries and no one has touched a production vehicle and there are still a ton of major question marks to be resolved yet there is still no regular...
Warranty, service, and financing are done.
Other big items are EPA ratings, in-person events, delivery process, accessories, final feature list, UI, swag store, and trade-ins.
Final feature list and UI will probably be together so they can outline Amazon integration, driver+, and tank turn...
I'm incredibly curious about these timelines. There are a lot of open items to address.
They have a ton of positions open on the website that will need to be filled to execute on some of these items and they appear to be in no rush to fill them. I've been rejected for a few positions I was...
I've decided to simply stop doing manual labor or things that require loading/unloading heavy objects. It's really going to come in handy when people find out I have a truck and ask me to help them move
I interpreted the original question very differently.
I thought they were asking "how far in advance of delivery does Rivian expect payment or some sort of buyers contract. Some of us will require financing and may be selling our current car on the open market as part of this transaction...
