cant speak to the Michelins obviously, but the Alenzas have been great-quiet, responsive, and great with the buckets of rain we've had lately...def recommend them....
The experience is indeed varied. I've had one visit to the service center, and mine will be 3 yrs old in November (visit for the recall). Other than minor computer hiccups that resolved I've had no issues, and have driven on numerous trips of 600+ miles. It drives as well as anything I've owned...

glad you like it....gotta say though my G1 R1T is quieter than my previous Tesla, rides well, has excellent fit and finish and the AC easily copes w TX hellish summer....I have no complaints....I see folks contemplating trading G1 for G2 which seems a tad silly frankly, given the inevitable...
I agree--I ground the retention clip down a bit and it works fine...seems to retain the Tesla plug just fine when I tested it....hopefully the Rivian version wont have this issue but for now this will do....
No solid evidence obviously. interesting to consider, but nothing more than speculation till we hear more....will watch closely....and if they do go with Apple for interface functions it'll be interesting to see how they patch for Android users like me....
IKR???....FOMO isnt worth worrying about....upgrades are constant....I'm satisfied I've gotten a great vehicle....besides if you're worried about the next great thing you'll never buy anything.....
