Interesting. The R1S used to have this behavior—automatically playing music on wake if I hadn’t paused it. Now, it just plays music all the time, obv less than ideal.

New R1S needed alignment (pulling right, like most + ping-pong in Driver+). SC did a road test with me, confirmed they could fix, and proceeded to do great job.

Understanding people's taste in audio quality is highly subjective, it does seem like structural & component changes may account for some of the variance between all the love/hate for the Elevation system. Although Gen2 without a sub seems like it would be extremely difficult to enjoy.

My Elevation system sounded horrible at first — after several weeks of use it sounded great. I’m convinced there was a break-in period for the speakers, possibly not performed at the factory. edit: I should add the system sounds far better than the Meridian in my 2020 Land Rover.

It’s possible your vehicle isn’t currently in great shape — could be anything really: poor QA/QC, damage in transit, mechanical, cosmetic, or all of the above… and their service centers typically have a huge backlog.
