For what's worth, my original A/T Scorpions 275/65 R20 were done, and I replaced them with Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse HT 275/65 R20. I did not compare efficiency yet, but they are unbelievably quiet! I knew an all season should be quieter than an all terrain, but it was still surprising the...
What also works so well using PVC pipe, is being able to adjust the width of each side. My bike tire is wider than my girlfriends bike tire. So on her side, I cut PVC pipe and snap an extra one (or more) over the first pipe, to create a smaller width. You will see this in the middle of the rack...
Very. The 1st one I ever made for my truck bed was wood, which wasn't very smart...too heavy. Since then, whenever I traded in a truck and the bed size differed, I would make a new one out of PVC pipe. On this one, I shaved off the front of it that goes up against the front of the bed, to allow...
In-Bed Rivian Bike Rack. Works with tailgate down. And also with tailgate up. The back wheel of the bike sits perfectly on top of tailgate. Pros and cons of course, but works great and easily tilts up to allow spare tire cover to raise. Just thought I'd add it to a bike rack thread.
I should correct one thing..."My review" should say "My opinion". Other than that, I am absolutely loving the truck. But I did feel riding on that Michelin AS, was quieter than the AT's.
Nothing to do with weight. I am not a tire center guy so I have no clue except in looking under the body with them, there lift station had no way of safely getting to the frame to lift it, without damaging the underbody....is how I understood it.
No. My review of them was from educating myself and more importantly, riding and talking to a friend who had them and his findings. Will those positive findings translate to the Rivian....no clue. And now that I have about 800 miles on the TA's instead of the initial thought of 200 and selling...
Sorry guys. Was gone for 3 weeks. You'll get a laugh at this. I was all set for the tires right after I got the truck after doing thorough reviews and having a good friend who had the tires on. Went to the dealer and due to the underside of the R1T and me not having my spare tire/parts yet...
I received my Rivian and followed my plan of immediately removing the original All-Terrain 20" tires (300 miles on them) and replacing w/All-Season. If anyone is looking to purchase 4 - 20" AT's, just let me know.
Since I am now a new owner, thought I would also place this here. If anyone who has an R1T w/20 AT's and would like to purchase another set for future use, send me an email at [email protected] to discuss. I had ordered 21 AS but to get my R1T on 3/31, I had to switch to 20 AT's. I am putting 20"...
Having received my R1T, but having to switch from my 21" All Season to 20" All Terrain to make it happen, has me sending this...especially to any WI buyers that wanted the 20 AT's. I am putting Michelin 20" All Season on my R1T, since my travels are ALL highway. Anyone interested in buying my...
Thanks! That is what I thought after driving my Sierra over the outline. Crew Cab was very similar, but bed was certainly short. But for me, it is exactly what I wanted. Always have driven half tons, but wanted something close but not as long.
Forgive me if this is in the post anywhere. Long ago I put all the exterior measurements of the Rivian on my garage floor and drove my GMC Sierra 1500 over the top. I did this because some article called the truck "midsize". My observation was the only real difference I saw was length of bed...
