  1. New R1S Cargo Area & Seat Down Covers and Protection Products Launched - EV Sportline

Hi @EV Sportline - I know it's been a while since you posted this. I was wondering how well the mat works when I have the sub-trunk lid in the ramp position? Actually, I am raising up the lid using risers to (1) fit my refrigerator underneath and (2) have a completely level floor.
  2. Range question for gen 1 2024 R1S quad

To the OP, keep in mind that miles range number displayed in the vehicle and in the App is not going to be your real-world range. You’ll start to recognize this when you do a roadtrip and see what the navigation says for remaining range to a charging stop.
  3. Range question for gen 1 2024 R1S quad

And riding around town in high mode too often wears the outer edge of the tires more quickly (as I learned with my first set).
  4. Loose A pillar cover

I can see the airbag because the cover panel keeps jostling loose. Do we think Rivian will still cover fixing this under warranty on a 35K mile R1S?
  5. Nokian One HT 20 inch replacement tires on sale

I have the 22” all seasons. Love them. A little noisier than the Scorpions, but I think they’re wearing better.
  6. Can’t send planned trip to car?

I am receiving the same error. My iOS App is up to date. Bummer. I recently realized that planning the trip using the mobile app (even if in the car) works better than using the in-car UI. Hopefully Rivian sorts this out soon.
  7. What Took You the Longest to Get Used To?

Coming from a Tesla, this is exactly it. There seems to be a lot of unnecessary application of the brakes at those very low speeds.
  8. Repairing Gaskets coming loose are my responsibility.

Here is an update. The mobile technician confirmed the gaskets are covered under warranty so I had them replaced for free.
  9. Repairing Gaskets coming loose are my responsibility.

Thank you for all the feedback. Very useful. Now I understand that I just need to have a conversation with the technician when they arrive and confirm that they are going to cover under warranty. I just got off the phone with Rivian Service and this is what they told me. By the way, the initial...
  10. Repairing Gaskets coming loose are my responsibility.

It’s still within the bumper to bumper mileage limit.
  11. Repairing Gaskets coming loose are my responsibility.

I’m surprised Rivian wants to charge me to repair/ replace the rubber gaskets that are coming off at the top of the liftgate.
  12. Buying after lease- good or bad idea

I have about $10K invested in R1S specific accessories (Roof Rack, RTT, Roof Boxes, Kammak Awning, Water tank) plus refrigeration that really won’t fit in another vehicle with all the other gear (besides maybe an F150 Lightining or Cybertruck 🤮). So I really want to stick with an R1S to get the...
  13. Buying after lease- good or bad idea

The issue is that there are no longer any of the incentives Rivian was offering in 2024. A Dual - not a max pack, No performance no sound & vision costs $400/$500 more per month to lease/finance than my current cost for the Quad. A Tri is $850 / mo higher. The specs on the current Tri are the...
  14. Buying after lease- good or bad idea

Dumb question; I’ve never done this before. When you extend the lease, does Chase also extend the allowed mileage by 6 months?
  15. Buying after lease- good or bad idea

The lease on our 2024 Gen 1 Quad will end in a year. Initially I was convinced we would just turn it in and lease or finance a new R1S. The problem with this approach is that we would need to “downgrade” to a Dual to keep the same monthly payment. So now we are considering buying out the lease...
  16. R1S Roof Racks Options - Compilation List

in theory, but you also have to consider the overall roof’s load capacity, not just the fact that the weight is more evenly dispersed with the 6 mounting points. Still, The dynamic roof load limit is 250 lbs. Static load capacity is 780 lbs. this means, you can have 250 lbs of RTT, plus 400...
  17. 2026.07 Software Update notes - features & fixes coming

Same here. Gen 1 R1S, saw update earlier this evening. Now gone from App.
  18. Rivian Service policy - no alternative transportation unless vehicle kept for 48 hrs

Chicago. Plus the door has a lock and customers must be buzzed in by the security guard. It’s surrounded by not so nice neighborhoods. This was the first SC opened by Rivian in the Chicagoland area. The Normal (HQ) and the new Melrose Park (a suburb near Ohare Airport) centers are nicer, more...
  19. Rivian Service policy - no alternative transportation unless vehicle kept for 48 hrs

rivian is very efficient though. Only 11 visits for 51 different service items.
  20. Rivian Service policy - no alternative transportation unless vehicle kept for 48 hrs

Agree. Rivian has always taken care of me over the past 2 years of ownership, 11 service visits.
