I’ve learned a lot from posters! I still believe the r2 might be better for me but it will depend on if I think I can wait. It is bigger than I need but there are a lot of advantages.
And coming from my 170 inch long Honda element the R1s is 30 inches larger and about 10 inches wider. The element really packs in amazing cargo for its size. I just wish the r2 was here already to really compare
I don’t really need to sleep in it as we have a vintage motorhome we use for actual camping but the space to haul stuff to the camper is what I like about my element. Now having the ability to sleep one night on a road trip is kinda cool. I’d also see us continuing to put the bikes on our 1Up rack
Good to know. I’m 6 feet and husband 6’3 so I find the lower vehicles to be more the issues. Tried a Prius the other day and hated getting in and out
It always interesting how folks like different things - I love mine! It’s my second one and I’ve driven one since 2003. I am in Canada on a large hill and it handles awesome in winter - both were AWD.
Good points.Yes we have the Tesla roadtser which is more for fun, we use the Honda element mostly and husband bikes to work. The parking and manoeuvrability are my main concerns. I do want a vehicle that allows for the interior cargo space by putting down the seats (like my element) I’m just not...
Love the truck and think it’s even better looking. I don’t like that it’s even longer and i think the interior storage is better for my use. For example hauling our telescope. We also live inner city but drive to the mountains regularly.
Thanks for the feedback. I much prefer the functional interior space of the Rivian to any of the teslas and the height for getting in and out. My current Honda element I drive with my back seats up mostly to keep the cargo space free. I really like the idea of the R2 but it seems this could be a...
I appreciate the response! I think the truck bed would be less practical for us, and it’s even longer. We drove both and they are both amazing though
We are in Canada and are really interested in the r2 but I am also suspicious of how long it will be before it’s in Canada. We are also looking at the R1s.
We are considering the R1S but it’s much larger than our current small suv. (We also have a reservation on a R2 but I imagine it will be two years before it’s in Canada). Anyone find their R1s is too large? There is just two of us but we bike, hike, camp etc
