Get off your high horse, dude. I remember reading one of your threads crying about the service center finding a nail in one of your tires and offering to patch it for $170.
Took delivery of my truck in May. Originally scheduled to get the cover installed in October but ran into parts shortage and was moved to November. You have to initiate it.
Your tempered roof glass isn't going to crack based on temperature change unless it's extreme and sudden. If it wasn't there during delivery, you'll likely have to do an insurance claim or pay out of pocket to fix that. For your Rivian charger, you should be able to do an exchange if you're...
I have a 2016 X and 2017 S, I still don't pay services for those cars today but that's no longer the case for newer vehicles. Today you need to pay for the data at $10/m or $100/y and Slacker (OneLive) for the default Tesla music streaming service at $10/m. You're complaining about Rivian's dual...
I was responding to a complaint about the trial starting before they got the software update, suggesting it could be a backdoor for keeping the unpaid Connect+.
Waiting for the update to start the trial is a back door for people to continue with unpaid Connect+. You can expedite receiving the update by connecting your car to your home wifi. But why does the update even matter? This is really just Rivian announcing an end to free data; softening the blow...
OP's details point to high speed driving. 68-72 recorded average speeds means he was hitting closer to 80 as someone already mentioned. These speeds while towing and expecting "normal" towing range is just dumb.
I've been using my 2017 MS as much as I can, including some longish road trip (~300 miles) where I only need to stop to charge once. I'm trying to extract as much value from my free supercharger access as I can. For anything longer, I prefer the Max range and just general comfort of the R1T.
But you purchased the car knowing that "they insist on a near pathological desire to control the stack and avoid outside developers." CarPlay and AA are not in the cards right now, likely never, can we just be grown ups and not cry about things we know aren't supposed to be there? You can cry...
