I went through the same process and eventually received a check. Not being able to buy parts directly from Rivian was the most difficult part. I had to get a quote from an “authorized service center” to replace panels that I could easily change at home.
I will still go to discount tire but I’m...
I do wish Rivian made that front bumper piece out of metal with some sort of support. Currently it just looks like a fake skid plate. I did look in there while he was scanning and while their engineers are much smarter than me I think it would be difficult to make a functional piece with how it...
They 3D scanned it all on my Truck a short while back. I know they are prioritizing front/rear motor skids at the moment, but unfortunately I cannot speak to the rest.
I learned about Rival4X4 through the Jeep community . I know they have a ton of projects going on all over the world, and I have a feeling they didn’t intend for the EV market to become as big as it has(especially in the offroad space.)
From my understanding they started development on both at...
Just finished test fitting a @RIVAL 4x4 front motor skid plate. They also spent some time scanning the rear section today that will cover the motor/air tank.
I feel the same
I normally drive on soft and the truck feels much more composed than it did prior. Bumps are slightly more noticeable but dampening is much improved and there is less “bouncing” after hitting a dip etc.
It may also be in my head but the steering feels tighter than it did before.
Installed mine today after work.
L Torx key is a must for the front. The one I had was a bit long but I was able to make it work by working behind the strut(very hard with one hand).
The install overall was fairly simple otherwise with adjusting the front being the most time consuming. I...
Can't wait for mine to show up. My luck with shipping there is some sort of weather delay :headbang:
I mounted my new wheels and at the lowest setting it's awfully close to touching(I haven't tried to drive it that way).
What's the best setting to get it level without lowering the rear? +2...
I may be too new to the forum to PM you, but would you mind sending me this in higher quality(not sure if it compressed via the forum)? I'm curious if that is enough for them to reimburse me for the parts.
If not, I understand and thanks for the input.
It's not so much the panels, but I rarely let anyone touch my vehicles unless absolutely necessary(Software updates/tires etc).
I even go to extremes of fixing my own vehicles under warranty so the dealer doesn't touch it.
I'm really deflated by this as I absolutely love the truck, but not...
The claims department is requesting I go to a service center to get a quote for the repairs. I told the person I spoke to I just want new panels that I can install myself. I don't want anyone else touching my vehicle and I don't want to take time off work for a needless estimate when all I need...
It has to be certain people not being properly trained at these stores. The first time I went to the same store for just a tire change they did everything right with their own Rivian specific pucks.
Reality is I don't want to come up with excuses for them because it just takes a bit of common...
Next time I’m going to pull the caps and snap my own pucks in place. Discount seems to want to help me resolve the issue which is why I used them in the first place. There are plenty of less expensive options, but very few stand behind their work/mistakes in my experience.
This may just be...
They definitely need the training. What gets to me is I could see the plastic deforming from the waiting room which is when I went out and took the picture of the jack and told the person it didn't look right. I didn't want to crawl underneath to look at the time as they had all 4 tires off...
