One of the things I don't miss are the frameless windows.
I had a Model Y and the window would rattle when closing the door. Rivian doors have a frame and simply feel more solid.
I also like how my Rivian has self closing frunk. For the Tesla, when opened, it was too tall for my children to...
By the way, I pugged my heat gun to the back of the Rivian simply because I could. Why not right? 🤣 I know my garage isn't only a few steps away, but what's the fun in that.
Same here. I'm also wrapping mine outdoors and has taken months to finish because I'm doing one panel at time whenever I have time away from the family. Sometimes my kids come to help, but they only stick around for a few minutes.

What an awesome write up. I know it takes a lot of extra time to take those photos, add arrows, and explain everything. Thanks for the extra effort to help the community.
Honestly, the info you shared about the interior and pulling the wires through the firewall can support many types of...
I took another look about the idea of modifying the rack to have the side bars match the curve of the roof line. If you were to do this, I image you will have to modify the L brackets because they could come at an angle to the Rivian's mounting points. The L brackets do have slots, but the end...
Good point. Let me measure my cross bars again.
There is some room between the glass and the bars. If the bars are bending enough to hit the glass, there is something wrong. I not planning on putting a tent on there. My plan is put bulky items on the roof to make space for the rear cargo...
One cool Rivian trick came in handy during my installation.
I was by myself and readjusting the rack. When I unbolted it from the roof, the entire rack started to slide off the vehicle. My car was packed on my driveway which has a slope for water drainage.
I use the camping auto leveling...
During my shopping, that was also something that I noticed. As @Polar mentioned, only Overland Ruff appears to follow the roof line. However, I didn't want to pay nearly $4k for that.
I also was thinking what you mentioned of cutting some of the rear cross bars to squeeze the side bars...

Hello Kemxns
I received my R1S Prospeed Rack over the weekend. I can confirm that it comes with 7 bars. That's not including the front wind deflector and the small bar in the very back that sits behind the shark fin antenna.
Hello.
I ordered mine at the end of Aug. Estimated arrival is early Nov.
There were various messages when I ordered that it will take awhile; so it was clear that I would have to wait patiently. I've emailed them a few times and gotten fast responses.
My guess is that it's made to order and...
Background Info:
I use the lower cargo area quite often (I don't have a spare tire) and wanted to find a better way to lift the cargo tray up.
The Project:
It's simple really....I just added handles to the tray.

There is no harm into that. I'm learning something new all the time and why I enjoy the off-roading community. Almost everyone that I have met has been kind and helpful. They have a "leave no one behind" mentality.
I'm glad you're taking your vehicle out and getting it dirty. Not only are you...
