New to the Gear Shop today (21 May 2026): R1T & R1S Outdoor Car Covers.
Not cheap at $500, but cheaper than a new garage. And maybe they are built well enough to justify their premium price tag (I know, I know, a lot of the items in the Gear Shop are overpriced yada yada ...).
R1T Outdoor...
Welcome to the forum, Steven. Great collection of used Rivians and you seem both committed to the brand and to customer satisfaction. Well done and what fun used vehicles to be able to get folks into.
A quick suggestion: you might think of taking a few extra photos that I know I always look for...
I have a VIN of 3900 and it's an early 2023 in Launch Edition Green and it looks similar to yours, but with the AT package and both sets of AT wheels. I love love love the LE green, but it's not for everyone.
My advice if you're looking to do a black matte wrap? Full chrome delete (the chrome...
Having followed the evolution of Rivian’s service model for some time, I wonder if they will eventually adopt a policy more in line with Tesla’s. Specifically, a tiered response system tied to the expected length of the service engagement.
It might look something like this: for repairs lasting...
Flamingo Jim’s in Rockaway Beach is a quintessential Oregon Coast shop. It’s packed with so many fun things, including Zoltar at the entrance. I couldn’t recommend it more for a family stop.
Unsung is right, it’s murderously difficult to remove the mirror housing. And God help you if you accidentally knock off the mirror. It is easier to solve a Rubiks cube in five seconds than it is to reattach a Rivian review mirror.
You are likely doing the right things, but it’s just sort of...
I’m just curious if any of you have ever used a Comma 4 with a mirror-tapped radar detector. It seems like they could go side-by-side under the mirror, but I don’t really have a sense of how much space that would take up.
If anyone has that set up and could snap a picture or two, that would be...
What he said ⬆️.
Also, don't overlook the rules for posting items on the Forum's Marketplace, especially the second one (since you'll be updating your pictures anyway):
Rule #2 - The picture must include a REAL piece of paper with your Username and the Date written on it next to the product...
CONFIRMATION UPDATE: 10 February
I went by the Bridgeport Village Charging Station and was able to count and confirm the installation. There are 10 pedestals -- 8 standard; 1 labeled "ADA Accessible Parking"; and, 1 labeled "Priority for vehicles with trailer."
All 10 pedestals are NACS...
I was surprised too. I wasn't inside the fenced work area (because, you know, work area), but the tech walked around and casually checked most (maybe all) of the plugs and the ones he was showing me were all NACS.
I was grateful for his time and didn't want to have him inventory all of the...
Update to the update:
I went by this charging station today and there were two techs working there. Super nice guys. They said they thought the power company would be coming by in the next 10 days and then it would be a week or so after that before it was fully up and running.
I confirmed...
It was a little challenging to get the photographs with the fencing that was up, but from what I could see, towing with a trailer would work well on the ends. I definitely wouldn’t want to tow a trailer between any of the pedestals.
This is a great Rivian at a very fair price. I was able to pick up a Launch Green AT R1S (39xx build; 7500 miles) in September that also had the Meridian and the 12v. I’m guessing ours were built right around the same time. If I hadn’t found the Launch Green, I would be flying down from Portland...
I would bet most owners use their Rivian for on-road travels, but I like to think of "adventurous" as a state of mind as much as an off-road experience. For me, any time I travel by car or Rivian, it's an adventure.
I envy your trip today. I have been at that Mt Shasta RAN and it's one of my...
This is great! Thank you for making and sharing it. This represents the best of what the Rivian Forum and the larger Internet can be, and I am grateful to you for creating and sharing with us.
Stay adventurous!
I was at the Rivian Bridgeport Village Space yesterday and checked in on the progress of the RAN charging station being installed at the back of the parking lot behind Bridgeport Village. It looks complete! It is still fenced off, but besides a job-site porta-potty, some construction cones, and...
I love the “comic-looking headlights,” for what it’s worth. I had an R1T, now I have an R1S. Both are awesome (I only switched because the SUV made more sense for how much I travel and the kind of adventuring I do in it, but I do miss the truck too).
As others have said, if I had to replace my...
