Mine had the 20s in San Diego/Miramar. I did not notice any noise, but I'm partially deaf from my R1S Pirellis with 24K miles on them. The 20" black wheels looked great, and were more satin that I thought they were going to be. The 20s on my R1 are high gloss black.
Did a drive at the San Diego Miramar location this morning. Surprised how much smaller it was in real life. My wife would love the easier lower entry. Everything seemed so much tighter and dialed in compared to my 2025 Gen 2 R1S. Tight, solid, nimble, quick.
The rear window exterior controls...
My UHF stopped working today, as advertised, on the last day of a long road trip. Not having it on the eastern sierra/395 to San Diego was not great. My wife does not like driving the Rivian, so UHF is basically my co-pilot and makes for a more relaxing long distance haul. Highway Assist only...
I just got mildly side-swiped by a tow truck driver--their side toolbox door flung open as they braked on my passenger side and it whacked my rear wheel arch. I immediately tried to hit the drive cam save button, but it was not there. When I looked further, it had been switched off from one of...
I have a Gen 2 R1S with Connect+, but on the last 6 months of updates or so, it has taken a week or more after the release to get each update notification and install.
R1S is parked at home overnight every day with "excellent" wifi connection (according to app), but connection is X-ed out...
My Gen2 is set to lock only at home, but it takes forever to unlock using the phone app, watch key, or Siri shortcut. It seems to go into a deep sleep state almost immediately after locking and usually loses connection to the app. The handle indentation press/hold does not do anything. When...
Mine came back on its own a few hours later. They must have been doing some testing on the upcoming Autonomy+ subscription stuff, resulting in a glitch in the matrix.
I was mildly curious on getting a trade-in value from Rivian on my current R1S for a Dune R1S. A sales associate got back to me and said the Dune is limited to the first 1,000 orders then it's gone, FYI...
Took delivery in September 2024, and had a few sensor issues and some other relatively minor items that mobile service could not fix. First appointment in San Diego was 3 months out, which happened to be last Monday. My R1S has sat untouched for 8 days, but they give daily updates and provided a...
My Gen 2 R1S was delivered September 2024 with some sensor issues that would intermittently pop up and sometimes get resolved. On delivery, the driver's display would show cars ahead, beside, and behind me, along with motorcycles and pedestrians. When I would drive on a narrow street with cars...
This referral code is a real winner. You can almost taste the free charging and accessories now… ADAM4325787
Actually I’m just desperate for my first referral. Cue tiny violin.
I too used the advice posted here to a T, and on November 22, 2024 mailed my paper 1040-X, 2022 8936, copy of signed PA, and a brief letter for tax credit on my 2025 R1S Dual/Max with binding purchase agreement and delivery in September 2024.
I had been checking daily on the "where's my amended...
I have very similar BLIS issues. It had never worked since delivery of my Gen 2 in September, then magically started working intermittently 2 weeks ago, but never for longer than a day. Sometimes I get full warning/error lights, but it still appears to work (indicator on mirrors, rear corner...
Just returned tonight from a 1,400 mile trip from San Diego to Mendocino and back. The way back down today (Saturday) was mellow at the Santa Nella RAN at 10:30, but got progressively worse throughout the day as we headed south. Harris Ranch Supercharger had 20 out of 80 chargers available and...
We left Sunday from San Diego to the Bay Area/Mendocino. RAN at Buttonwillow, Santa Nella, and Ukiah only had 2-3 Rivians charging. Supercharger in Windsor was full of Teslas when we arrived, but parked on the end and waited for only 5 minutes. I was a little stressed out on arrival though. None...
That’s great to know about the Rivian sunshade. For some reason I assumed it was an overpriced floppy one, so I got the Covercraft, which has been great. The Covercraft takes a second or 2 to finesse it into position correctly past the thick A-pillar trim and mirror, but it fits nice and flat...
There is an interesting write-up on the solid axle with integrated motor, including pics, here (scroll down midway): https://www.theautopian.com/i-crawled-underneath-the-new-scout-to-look-at-the-engineering-heres-what-i-found/
