The wait is over! Ordered off the shop 7/17, originally scheduled for Sept 4 but my SC reached out that it was ready early! Some very minor body/panel misalignment, otherwise in very good shape. Flawless interior (Black + Dark Ash). Premium audio sounds very good with Apple Music.

Seems like at least half the negative statements are people that has a bad experience with CP in a shitty rental car. I've used it in 4 different vehicles and it's fantastic. I even use a 3rd party wireless adapter in one of them and even that is flawless 95% of the fine.

That's basically it for me. Waze, Apple Music, Overcast and Messages are pretty much the only thing I ever use in CarPlay. Right now I can get ONE of those things with Rivian's system. Give me all 4 and I'll shut up, but they will never be able to build something that works with iMessage...

Essential: Waze Apple Music (got this already thankfully) A dedicated podcast app -- Overcast, Pocketcast, Podcast Addict, eg not Spotify Messaging app that supports SMS and iMessage OR For the 1000th time, you could just allow CarPlay and not have to worry about app support.

They will acquiesce eventually, especially as they go downmarket with cheaper models. It's a make-or-break feature for a LOT of consumers.
