  1. 20" Inch Toyo Open Country A/T III EV tires + Black Rhino Voltaic Bronze wheels on Compass Yellow R1T

Thanks! I had the non-evs on for a minute and noticed a big hit to range/efficiency. Traded up to the EVs and they're easily as efficient of not more as the stock pirellis and much quieter to boot.
  2. 20" Inch Toyo Open Country A/T III EV tires + Black Rhino Voltaic Bronze wheels on Compass Yellow R1T

LT (E) rating. Suggested due to the weight of the truck. (I actually had the non EVs on for a hot minute and saw a huge hit to efficiency. I was lucky enough that the shop allowed me to trade up to the EVs which were noticeably more efficient and quieter. Worth the few $100 more.
  3. 20" Inch Toyo Open Country A/T III EV tires + Black Rhino Voltaic Bronze wheels on Compass Yellow R1T

Just got my wheel/tire setup done on my Compass Yellow R1T. Quite happy with this look. Was running these toyos on a previous set of 20s and was seeing a little range hit against the 22” stock pirellis but honestly not enough to care. Went for the voltaics as I was getting some rubbing below...
  4. Bugs in the latest firmware (2025.14.30)

map issues: -satellite view no longer available. -map randomly zooms out to view os US -map stuck in dark mode
  5. Crack in roof glass - should I just leave it?

I just replaced mine. Much larger crack but it had expanded in 4 directions to each edge during the wait. It was bad enough to make noise while flexing. Also got a small crack in the windshield on the loaner RTS that went to both top and bottom. Overall I’ve found that glass on these is prone...
  6. R1T vs R1S - Observations from an extended test drive

Ah yes! Not a good feature on the R1S: When you recline the seats with the armrest/drink holder down it does not stay level with the seat but leans back which seems counter intuitive.
  7. R1T vs R1S - Observations from an extended test drive

I had a chance to take a 2022 R1S Quad Motor Launch Edition on an extended test drive (2000+ miles) while my 2023 R1T Quad was in for repairs. These vehicles are similar in many ways, but also not the same. I was able to take the R1S loaner from the bay area to Tahoe several times in poor...
  8. 2023 R1T Suspension and console noise issues resolved!

I purchased my new to me 2023 R1T in August '24 and very quickly realized there were alot of odd noises coming from the front end, dashboard, and center console. I managed to solved the dashboard noise issues with help from these forums (thank you all!) this was due to the speakers and clips...
  9. California GetFlated - Compact bed cap

Flated compact bed top fits Ford Maverick, Rivian R1T, check website for product fit: https://flated.com/products/compact-maverick-cap46 Used in good condition. Was on and off my R1T for a year found I did not use the space as much as I thought. Solid top. Never had to re-inflate while it was...
  10. Emergency Vehicle Access - Backup Solution

I had to look more into this. I can’t find any other examples of cars made today other than Tesla and Rivian that don’t have an emergency key hidden in the key fob for entry. I’m curious which others have gone down this route? Interesting idea so basically attempt to push back power thru the...
  11. Emergency Vehicle Access - Backup Solution

Good point about the flashlight. I was thinking the same about the lithium option down the road.
  12. Emergency Vehicle Access - Backup Solution

One of the main gripes I have about these electric vehicles. Any by these I mean Tesla and Rivian specifically, is there is no physical key. Access to the vehicle is entirely dependent on the 12v battery functioning properly, and as we know this seems to be the achilles heel of these vehicles...
  13. Dash rattle mitigation - dash disassemble DIY

Yes. When I took everything apart and started working on adding foam spacers to speakers I noticed that there was still squeaking sounds coming from the grille which I identified as coming from the metal housing rubbing against the plastic backing. I separated these by GENTLY bending back the...
  14. Dash rattle mitigation - dash disassemble DIY

Calling all noise mitigation DIY'ers. I am at my wits end with what I will call a twanging noise like one would hear after someone jumps off of a diving board in a cartoon originating from somewhere in the dash. This happens on mildly bumpy roads (not off-roading) at 20-30 mph and seems to be...
  15. Suspension rattling - help diagnosing root cause

This is a great explanation for that rattling. Thank you. I have noticed less rattling noise when fully extended (highest setting) although this is not possible in on-road drive modes.
  16. R1T ski trip with family from San Francisco CA to Bend OR

follow up: mobile service completed battery replacement and replaced both tailgate latch assemblies. It took him about 2 hours to complete this service with removing and re-installing my soft bed cover The tech noted there was no difference in the battery that was replaced. It’s just another...
  17. R1T ski trip with family from San Francisco CA to Bend OR

I see. No. No issues with plugs not seating all the way. I’d return it if that happened.
  18. R1T ski trip with family from San Francisco CA to Bend OR

At first glance the Rivian adapter looks like it will fit a 30A dryer receptacle but these are slightly different. The Rivian is a 50A RV type so you need to ensure you get the right adapter. The links I provided in a reply somewhere in this thread has them.
  19. R1T ski trip with family from San Francisco CA to Bend OR

thanks. Will check that out the next time I’m up there. this trip was definitely worth it but we hit the weather just right with several huge dumps before we arrived then several epic powder days. The length of trip justifies at least a week stay IMHO.
