You do not need to have Connect+ to have SiriusXM. You do however have to have a separate Subscription from any other SiriusXM subscription you may have. It is just like having the App because it is not accessed via an Antenna. Therefore, you can get the "Extra" Channels" that are not available...
All I know is that the extra 2 to 3 hours it takes to charge the R1S, is outside the lower overnight electric rate time frame. Therefore, I'm paying more to charge it and because the range is also worse, I am charging it way more often.
Yes, I owned the EV9 for just over a year and Sold it to get the R1S, which I've now had for just over a year. So, my post was about my real world experience with both. Again, these were MY experiences which in turn created MY Opinions. Obviously everyone will will have different experiences...

The extreme heat from the tires when pulling into the Garage messes up the epoxy and it starts to look bad and just keeps getting worse over time. It then is VERY difficult and costly to repair. The Tiles are way better and if one breaks for some reason, you can just pop it out and put in a new.
Since the last Update, I can no longer hear the "Alexa" Voice. I can hear the start and stop tone but not the voice. I increased the Alexa volume but that only increased the tones but not the Voice. Anyone have a "fix"? TIA
Same for me. It says it's Paired in the App and in the Car, but won't work. Tried getting Rivian to help, but they have no idea and have yet to return my call when they said they would check with the "Fob" Group.
Picked up my R1S on Saturday Dec.7th and my adapter arrived the following Thursday Dec 12th. It was just a 1 day ship from Cali to Vegas. But it shipped 4 days after I got my Car!
