That shade looks good. We live in the Pacific Northwest and my wife is very sensitive to the sun. The feeling (potentially?) of having to wear a hat inside the car would be a deal breaker. Odd they don’t offer an option without the glass roof, or at least provide a quality shade.

Totally different vehicle to R2, IMO. Love the buttons! So much for the guy saying "no way" buttons are so "legacy" LOL. Good for them, not everyone loves a giant iPad.
For us, it is too big and too rugged. I think R2 caters more to the casual off roader, but that's just my take.
Thanks for the photo, she'll like those seats better. It is going to be really interesting to see if those scroll wheels are easy to use. The only demo's I've seen are the Rivian test mode ones.
(the ads on this forum are horrible)
Well, we'd generally have to stick to that highway given the sheer size of the country, but we would do dekes north and south to smaller places that we want to see. The charge network is getting better all the time, and there are some who've made big trips like that already.
Yep, the Sport. I've compared the dimensions and the R2 is actually lower, but about 12" longer which is fine. It would offer a bit more storage than the Bronco which would be welcome. For 2 people and a dog R2 is a perfect size I think. Does anyone have a good photo of the seats for R2...
Thanks for all the replies. These are high quality problems to have!, I just feel like I made my job harder LOL. I'll let it be for now, and maybe the press car will loop around again and we can go see it. I also think Rivian would be wise to keep interest up, with some kind of press event...
Having an R2 beside the convertible would be a killer combination. We're looking to take a car across Canada in 2027 so I'm hoping I can pull this off as I think the R2 will be a good road tripper.
I tired to elaborate on that in post 8 above. Honestly, I think the comment was mostly focused on the seats, and they do have a lot going on with the revels, stitching, headrest design etc. R2 seats seem to be more "simple".
yep, time is on my side! The store was empty, no car in the showroom made it feel vacant and the employee was just sort of there and didn't engage really at all. I know it is tough to balance "annoying" and "disinterested' for the sales guys. Kind of a no win situation, but the space itself...
I was surprised on the interior comment. We're also strict vegans so I thought she'd really appreciate what they'd done. R2 has a bit less embroidery and patterning so that might help. By busy, I think that's what she means because there is way less "stuff" in the Rivian. With the Bronco...
She uses CarPlay and I have been telling her we use the screen more and more etc. I didn't even have time to mess around with the screen because I just felt she wanted to leave. From my research and asking folks who have one, it seems pretty easy to use (like no drilling down 2 menus for...
You're likely correct, for our purposes though the vehicle is just too big. It is just us 2 and the pooch. I did show her on the way home the R2 interior is slightly different (visually she thought R1S was busy), and I showed her the R2 is only about 12" longer than the Bronco and actually...
Sorry for the click bait title LOL. We have a Bronco Sport which I want to upgrade to an R2. My wife sort of agreed at the time we placed the deposit. She likes the Bronco, likes that it is basic, easy to use, non precious and relatively inexpensive. Our other car is a Porsche Spyder for...
