Update: got an appointment next Friday at a Rivian certified collision center to get an initial estimate. ??

OMG how frightening. Hope everyone was able to recover from this accident. I’ll definitely be in touch as I navigate this. It already appears the insurance company is going to play hardball with me on the claim assessment value.

apparently in the state of Washington the damages have to cost at least 70% of the value of the vehicle and it can be deemed total.

Question for the thread, where can I get the most accurate estimate for the damage? Should I go directly to Rivian?

feeling it today for sure. I have an appointment next week with the spine doc and will definitely be getting an MRI. Fingers crossed I don’t have another herniation

that’s the burning question…the cops and fire department were on hand with in 2 minutes so didn’t even talk to the guy. There was tar running down the middle of the street so he was a little preoccupied. There wasn’t any insurance listed on the incident form but I overheard he was doing a job...

this was a big reason I got an attorney. Didn’t want the Insurance company dicking me around since the vehicle is brand new

thanks! I know I made the right decision in getting an attorney. It was alarming when the insurance company began asking me where I wanted the repairs done with out even seeing the damage. Made me feel like they were going to try and nickel and dime me on the repairs

Over react much? Nah I ended up in the ER with a concussion and am a year and a half out from a disk replacement in my neck, so sit this one out buddy
