  1. Rivian HANDS FREE ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM is coming 2025 + EYES OFF SYSTEM in 2026 -- Per CEO RJ SCARINGE

When can us Gen 1 owners sign up for the class action against Rivian for promising and selling those abilities and then completely abandoning them even to the point that a retrofit will not even be able to be purchased, let alone provided as a way to ensure the promises sold to gen 1 owners are...
  2. Connect+ is Here

I guess that’s the point. I agree this really “affects” no one, including Rivian. Thus it’s wrong to not just do things in a way that is more customer focused and friendly. If this (a month or so of connect+) DOES materially affect the survival of Rivian then they don’t deserve to be in...
  3. Connect+ is Here

Then why provide one at all? You see, the way they rolled this out is wrong. Rivian can do wrong, and they have been. It’s one thing to not treat a customer base with respect when you have 1 billion potential customers because you’re price point allows that. But at this price point and facade...
  4. Connect+ is Here

Apparently you didn’t read the whole post. Rivian needs to stop the ticky tack BS. The way this was released this morning is exactly that. There is no defending it. Yes, this was coming, I never disputed that it shouldn’t.
  5. Connect+ is Here

I don’t post often, but I really don’t understand all the Rivian apologists on here. Sure you’d expect them on a Rivian forum, but damn do you guys drink the koolaid. I have both a 22’ R1T and a 23’ R1S. I’m not happy with the corporate decisions. RJ was a good guy with good plans but the...
  6. Anyone else have a disappointing delivery experience?

I didn't read through all of the responses, but I am also shocked at the amount of koolaid drinking going on here. We also had a poor experience back in September. I haven't posted yet as we are waiting for and giving Rivian the opportunity to fix it. It is not being addressed the way we would...
  7. Pretty (subjectively) expensive vehicle this R1T (but happily bought it anyway)

Like all the others have said, the max pack is simply not worth that premium. Ditch that, any other chance is subjective. The $16k for essentially 40-50 miles of real world range…only if money does not matter at all. But based on the thread title, it does. edit* read your posts on range...
  8. Initial R1S impressions after driving Teslas for 6 years

You mention running boards, and something like those might be a nice factory option, however, have you used kneel mode? I mean you missed the cup holders, so maybe you missed this?
  9. Discovered that R1T Powered Tonneau Available in Gear Shop Early 2024?!

This, the tax implications are different if sold in the gear shop vs part of the vehicle. Also helps some vehicles stay under the tax credit threshold. Likely still no retrofiting available. Just a clever way to affect tax liability.
  10. Rivian Update 2023.30.00 - One-Touch Garage Door Opener, Nav Enhancements, Text Address Sharing From Phone To Vehicle, EVgo Autocharge+ Support & More

Wow, it was a PSA about the update. Hopefully you’re only a douche behind a keyboard and a better person in real life. My highway assist is “bricked” it does not work and there is no fix from Rivian other than schedule a service or wait for the next update. What’s the problem? It doesn’t work...
  11. Rivian Update 2023.30.00 - One-Touch Garage Door Opener, Nav Enhancements, Text Address Sharing From Phone To Vehicle, EVgo Autocharge+ Support & More

This update bricked my driver +, specifically the highway assist. Adaptive cruise still works fine, cameras are clean, performed both soft and hard resets. No joy. And no solution other than bringing to service center for a long wait or just trying the next update. Only bummer is that I’m...
  12. Help seeing an R1T in person (Philadelphia suburbs)

Im in Media and happy to let you check out mine. Though currently in Phoenix , drove it out to CA for the summer and in the process of driving back now with a few stops along the way. Will be back on the 27th.
  13. 2nd Rivian Delivery! Proud R1T and R1S Owner (but one delivery issue)

Love it, we’re waiting on the same combo! Already have Blue T, Red S ordered back in 12/2021.
  14. HaulMaster Cargo Carrier, yeah, it fits R1T bed… ;)

I actually did the same thing! Needed the space for a cross country drive, PA to CA. We were bringing out baby things for my wife’s cousin. This worked great going across the country for the luggage. I ditched that “aero” piece though…just didn’t need it and wanted to be able to use any bar to...
  15. R1T Limited Regen Warning: What's normal?

I read through 2 pages and didn’t see this response so I figured Id make sure you’re aware that using dynamic cruise control allows the vehicle to blend in the friction brakes. It doesn’t necessarily wait until regen is maxed out and not sufficient. This is probably why you don’t have the issue...
  16. Rivian AC Noise / Vibration / Harshness Data Collection Request Poll with Survey Results Link

Also subscribed. I had that sound and vibration in the accelerator pedal back in April when navigating to a DCFC (2nd time going to one at that point). It was my first time hearing that sound. Didn't hear it again until my next time again navigating to a fast charger, at the beginning of the...
  17. Registration in Pennsylvania

I picked up mine in Oct. still haven’t done the inspection. Was actually wondering exactly how that was supposed to work. Didn’t realize PA was ridiculous and required brand new vehicles to get inspected…not from the area originally…oh well I’ll take care of it eventually. Just got the...
  18. If anyone wants to add back 12v in the frunk...

Correct me if I’m wrong as I haven’t looked into this myself yet, however based on what the OP posted it doesn’t appear a new harness is needed? The current harness has 4 wires going to it. 2 of which are for the light, the other two presumably for the not present 12v outlet. All one would need...
  19. Tailgate Alignment

Just wondering if this is typical alignment for most or something I should send in a ticket to have fixed. The top portion of the tailgate sits a bit too far inward.
  20. What max range calculations is everyone getting?

What kind of drives do you typically do? Mode most driving is done in, tires? If you're averaging 57mph over 7400 miles I'm guessing most driving is longer highway drives, and the battery comes to temperature. I have seen 2.2-2.4 fairly recently when I've driven 60-65mph and the drive was long...
