I noticed after I lock my R1S and when I come back to my car after a few minutes, I unlock the vehicle and the air is blowing super hard. It seems like a glitch. I brought it to Rivian and they couldn’t replicate it. This happens quite frequently. Anyone knows why it does this?
Don’t hit two years and got the message that 12v battery had to be replaced. Warranty covered it. He says they are covered for 36 months or 36k miles whatever comes first. The new one is covered for 24 months. Heard that the original manufacturer of 12v battery, which he didn’t disclose, had...
I saw this toggle to turn on in the Rivian app that allows you to hide others from seeing your location. I didn’t know you can even see another Rivian owner’s location on the app. Do you folks see other owners vehicles?
Gen 2 tri motors are already starting to fall below $90k if you don’t mind gently used. Maybe in another year it can be had for $75k. I hate my gen 1 quad’s floating and bounce-house feeling when driving over speed bumps...
Rivian sent us the NACS to CCS adapter for Gen 1 so we can charge at Tesla stations. Will this also work at home or level 2 chargers? CCS just has the bottom section but wondering if it’ll work at a friends house who has a level 2 Tesla Charger
$295 isn’t too bad. I don’t know where he got $600 from. I called a local independent wheel and tire a shop and they said they use Hunter machines and are capable of taking in Rivians but they just need 2.5 hours to calibrate. Quote is $250.
Another shop quoted $149 with John and Beam...
I was chatting with another Owner, who told me Rivian is the only place that can do wheel alignments special machine needsand costs $600. Has anyone able to get it done for cheaper through independent shops?
Is that what the reviews state? I thought they said suspension improved, driving range improved and it’s faster in every way. But it’s also 30-40% more expensive.
I wouldn’t pay $50k more than my Gen 1 quad for this. I have my eyes set on a Gen 2 tri motor in a few years. Depreciation will be my friend and I like the fact that the tires are rotatable on the tri motor.
Is the interior of the Gen 2 quad better than the interior of the Gen 2 Ascend Tri motor?
The gen 2 has a door button and a lever? The picture shows the button and just the trim. So you have to rip off the trim to access the manual release lever? Seems over complicated.
