This is almost exactly what I saw on my Gen 2 Dual Max this past weekend when I increased the charge limit to 100% while plugged into my 48A Tesla HPWC. Temperatures were somewhere around 40 degrees as well. Hopeful that the update rolling out fixes it!
Sorry to necro this thread, but I was using the tape method for a little while until I noticed it was peeling off. Yesterday I removed the tape and applied JB Weld Black Silicone to the gaps. Seems to be working great from two quick highway drives I took yesterday and it blends in a lot better...
Gen 2 Dual Max here - boosted charge to 100% this morning for a long trip and my charge rate dropped to 6.9kW (normally does 11.5kW) once the battery hit 80ish percent. Seems like a common issue - just throwing in another data point. Won’t hit 100% before my trip, so a little pissed about that...
