I have a thread about this from last October, but the TLDR is even if you go in for service (mine didn't work at all for 6+ months) they are going to end up telling you there is nothing they can do and will blame it on Mapbox (who they use for mapping data). You basically will have to wait for...
You sort of make my point here.
The ***MAIN*** selling point WAS NOT that you were going to get a FREE adapter, the actual selling point was that you could use the Tesla network.
My point is that by giving them away for free and trying to do the"right thing" Rivian put (some) owners in a...
Sure. I see both sides of that. I think they also should’ve made it “allowed” to use an aftermarket one that’s been tested/certified safe (unless they did that at some point and I missed it). That being said, I’ve mentioned using one to a few Rivian employees and they didn’t care at all and said...
Assuming you bought early, but your post isn’t true for a lot of people. I picked mine up in late May, and they mentioned many times the latest I’d have my adapter would be September 24. I was told that by my guide and on my pickup day and also during my walkthrough. The ability to use the Tesla...
I’ve only ever driven mine, so I’ve wondered this on the Gen 1. Basically anything even with or forward of my windshield wipers will show on the screen. Behind that, nothing. I’ve taken videos where I’m right next to an 18 wheeler and the screen shows nothing there (but the mirror blind spot...
I’m on the latest. I’ve kept hoping the next update is the one that fixes the issue, but that hasn’t happened yet. If it’s not a software issue that’s a crazy coincidence that something went wrong right after that update.
After I posted that update today I called back trying to go ahead and...
Update on this:
The issue is still ongoing - The Atlanta service center randomly closed the ticket in October without ever contacting me to discuss the problem as Rivian told me they would. I had a lot going on at the time, so I pushed it to the side for a while.
I reached back out to them...
Not surprised. I love the cars, but the service is awful and horribly inefficient for a company that needs to be operating lean while still making customers satisfied.
My prior service for a few wind noise issues from bad seals was almost a month of the car sitting on the lot while Rivian paid...
Updated to 39.01 last night, and that did not solve the issue.
Still haven't heard a peep from Rivian, so I'm making it my goal to bother them today until I get some sort of confirmation this is a known software issue that's being actively addressed in a coming update.
Happened to me, and I started a thread on it last week where others mentioned the same...still haven't heard from Rivian, but it does sound software related, so open a ticket and maybe it'll be fixed on the next release.
I saw some tweets early this AM about some people having issues...Mine worked halfway to the office and then cut out.
The interesting thing is the car shows full LTE, and as some have noted, Gear Guard does still work. It's absolutely a Rivian issue - hopefully one that they can resolve...
I did a hard reset last night and still no access to Highway Assist after.
I reported it over the weekend by emailing customer service, but is there a better way to alert them about these bugs? I saved a few diagnostic reports when trying to engage Assist the AM.
Has anyone else seen this? I've got a 1st gen quad R1S that updated Friday. Since that update, I've driven ~250 miles on highways where Assist has previously been available and worked with no issues at all, yet the icon was never there, and when I tried to engage it, the messages "Assist isn't...
