I had an incident today where I tried out UHF on a well-marked local road and it got confused in an area where the straight lane jogged over and a left turn lane was ended up in the same line as the straight lane before it (if that makes sense).
The vehicle sort of realized as it veered into...
I ran across this article claiming there was a recent autonomy update and was curious if anyone can confirm this.
Related, is there a way to check the version of the Autonomy Platform? I didn't spend too long looking, but in the vehicle mine just says "Up to Date"...
I'm definitely excited for the UHF update but will try not to get my hopes up on timing. I imagine there is a large lag between a CEO demo and a validated system rolling out broadly to customers.
I'd be shocked if it's in the next software update.
I just took my R1S in for the Gen 2 recall repairs to the new Sunnyvale service center.
Evidently it's been open about a month and I was able to get in quickly. I was surprised to see it as an option when I was scheduling the appointment. I scheduled it about two weeks ago for my convenience...
This makes me wonder if there are some kind of undocumented (to the public at least) system differences because your experience seems to be the opposite of mine.
My bass was drastically reduced after the update. So much so, it actually made me doubt if anyone working on the update actually...
The more I've listened to this update, the less I like it. I also don't think it addressed the sound stage separation very well as you just don't get much of the range from the door.
I'm glad I measured before and after the update as, at least for my vehicle, there's no question that the...
I've got a 2025 R1S Tri and am always excited for any new sound improvements.
Overall, I actually felt the bass was less impactful than before but maybe some of the sound stage sounded wider. I haven't spent much time listening yet but it's not an obvious improvement to me.
I took a...
Reasonable update but I was hoping to see the Driver Comfort Assist feature they have under the "Made to Improve Overtime" heading in the Autonomy section.
Expected in 2025, Driver Comfort Assist intelligently adjusts speed and lane position based on traffic conditions or other cars around you.
I personally think the conserve mode in the Tri is quite good and I don't notice the motor disconnects / connects in the vast majority of cases. In fact, I question why it isn't the all purpose mode and find the all purpose mode to be kind of pointless.
Also, even for passing, conserve mode...
I find the range estimates in any given trip to be accurate for my R1S tri with sport 22s.
Overall, if you're thinking about road tripping range, it's very speed dependent. On a somewhat traffic-y 30 mile commute to work where speeds don't exceed the upper 60s very often, I'll get in the high...
I noticed a new feature is now shown under the Autonomy platform on Rivians website:

Driving Comfort Assist
Expected 2025
Intelligently adjust your speed and lane position based on traffic conditions or other cars around you.

I'm looking forward to this one, I think lane biasing...
I believe the speakers in the corners of the dash are just tweeters which means the midrange in the front row is only coming from the center channel. For better stereo imaging, I'd basically prefer no center channel at all or at least additional mid coming from the doors. Basically, I want...
Thanks for the confirmation! I had scheduled a service appointment but sounds (no pun intended) like I should cancel it since it's operating as expected but not how I want.
Thanks for the reply. I still would love to hear from someone with the same system to confirm.
While I can understand the logic on paper of designing a crossover at that frequency, I don't think it makes sense with the physical layout. Since the mid range drivers in the dash are towards the...
Hey,
I'm looking for confirmation from other Gen 2 Premium Sound owners on whether or not the performance of my driver main door speakers are "normal". All I'm hearing from the main door speaker (one on the bottom) are low frequencies which essentially sounds like the speaker is being used as...
I'm willing to try it if you're offering to buy the tires :)
Tangentially related, I did watch the parts of the video where Kyle used launch mode and on both the Tri and the Quad it looked like he didn't do it correctly. Both times the three circles did not turn green before he launched. I...
Pinging this thread to see if any other Gen 2 premium audio folks can take a look at the video above (1 post earlier)and tell me if they experience the same or different from the front door speakers.
I tried a hard and then soft reset and it didn't change anything so I scheduled a service appointment.
In the meantime, I took a video where first put my phone near the bottom speaker in the rear left door which sounds about how'd I expect. I then put the phone next to the tweeter in the rear...
