I replaced my original Pirelli Scorpions at 28k miles - same reason, they were very noisy - with Michelin Defender Platinum. Was pleased and even astounded at how much quieter they have been. At 2k plus miles, I am pleased overall, but I have not driven with them off road (not what they're for)...
