No giraffes were harmed. Bought the R1T used and chrome was already sharp and separated. Sliced my hands on several occasions just opening the door. Real leather embossed and colored. I backed it and laced it on. This sheet is Rivian-esque.

Chrome was jagged/peeled from use, so I had some leather hanging around that was close to compass yellow. Backed it an stitched it around the front handles.

Gotcha there was also talk in a forum about putting a 1-farad cap in-line with the 12v battery and the charging system to condition the voltage, but without knowing what is causing the breaks, that isn't going to help.
