When considering all the additional things this package comes with (max bat $7k, darkout $1k, FG paint $2.5k, sound+vision $2.5k, and the forest edge $2k itself), the forest edge interior is a $6k discount ($15k of upgrades for $9k)
Your photos are from the location under construction at I-5 and Jamboree. This is called the Tustin Marketplace.
I’m not sure where your reference to the Irvine Spectrum comes from?
This is a fun question. Theoretically, you can stay hidden out in the boonies somewhere with an EV and recharge with solar, or campground electrical hookups. I suppose the electrical grid can eventually “run dry” like a gas supply too? But you can avoid civilization more in an EV than an ICE...
Getting more regen northbound was purely a function of some stop and go traffic through LA around 4pm on a Friday. Even got detoured off the 5 momentarily to avoid the worst of it, which added about 10mi to the NB route.
Yes, that is what it means.
While its nice to know the capacity exists to make it on this trip in one shot , its really the only use case I see for having a need for 400mi range (having a point-to-point destination ~360mi away).
I have family out in the PHX area that lives 384mi door-to-door...
Completed a couple long drives through the I-5 corridor of CA this weekend. We made it door-to-door without stopping each time, primarily out of curiosity to see how the range would hold up. We have a 2023 Gen 1 R1S, performance dual max with 21" road tires (stock pirellis for now... michelin...
Here’s my longest from yesterday. Performance Dual Max.

Yucca Valley and the J Tree NP area as a whole is awesome. Some highlights for you to check out if you make it:
• Joshua Tree Saloon (& neighboring shops/market)
• Snake Bite Roadhouse
• Coffee/cafes: Frontier, The Dez
• Desert Nest is a fun thrift/retail store on the way out of town...
0.42¢ per kWh at most level 2 chargepoints near me in SoCal. There are a few .30¢ options by the hour if you have the station to yourself but you have to get lucky that no one else pulls up to occupy the same tandem unit and cut your speed in half, which effectively doubles the price.

Darn. I thought it looked pretty sleek. And the camp stove fitting on top was a nice plus. In the market for hitch mounted cargo box for our R1S and this one caught our eye.
Anybody have a sharp eye for stuff like this? Is it a yet to be released OEM accessory, or one that’s already out there? I like the full enclosure and rear brake lights.
Looks like there is a camp stove on top as well, but that’s not the part I’m asking about.
The wiring, breakers, and panel components all already exist. This was a new construction tract home built in 2021 and the pre-wiring was part of the initial construction. I assume that to mean whatever permitting regulations have already been satisfied by the initial build/construction process...
So, if I picked up a Rivian wall charger, it could be mounted to the wall and those 3 wires get connected directly to the charger?
For the initial inquiry about when the wiring was initially done and last inspected — this was done by the building company (Taylor Morrison) when the house was...
My home came pre-wired with a recessed box for EV charging. The breaker box says it’s 50 amps. I’m very naive on this subject but I assume this means most of the legwork here is already done and I just need an outlet put in for my Rivian Wall Charger (working on acquiring one of those now). Or...
Fourth on desk. Bonus points if it stores somehow to the side of the seat between the door or center console and folds up/out like an airplane tray table.
