  1. Roof rack wind deflector

I didn't try since accessing those would be far more difficult. Given the stories of shattered glass roofs I prefer to do as minimal wrenching while on the vehicle. ;) Also if you attached to the underside it would mean the wind deflector itself would route air more "onto" the tent instead of...
  2. Roof rack wind deflector

Sure, I purchased the frontrunner option mentioned earlier in this thread. The rack is the C6 Outdoor platform for the RevTent. I just didn't install both halves because as stated earlier I don't plan to setup the tent on top of the vehicle. Just transport it. Here are pictures of the install...
  3. Roof rack wind deflector

It solved the wind noise issue. However, I should clarify that I'm not using the whole rack since I don't plan to sleep on top of the vehicle just transport it up there. So I'm only using half of the C6 platform.
  4. Roof rack wind deflector

@FooF Thank you again this is really helpful. Can't wait for mine to arrive and test out the noise reduction.

Any pictures? I'm assuming then it rests on the front window frame? Or it doesn't make contact with anything?
  6. Roof rack wind deflector

@FooF Any issues with the rubber seal touching the glass? Marring etc... ?
  7. Roof rack wind deflector

Thank you this is exactly what I was hoping to find.
  8. Roof rack wind deflector

I appreciate the alternative rack systems, however the C6 platform I have is dimensioned specifically for the tent and has bolt downs to attach the tent to it. So I'm hoping to find something that will work with it. Those setups look nice.
  9. Roof rack wind deflector

I'm curious to hear what options people have used with roof top cargo carriers or roof top tents to reduce wind noise. I'm cautious about any of the options that make contact with the roof given the examples of the glass roof shattering. I added the roof platform from C6 Outdoors to carry the...

I was at this location yesterday and it is not the best place to navigate with an R1T. Very busy and the location is dead center in the middle of the shopping center. Good luck to those who are visiting.
