I don’t think they will directly compete. Rivian is focused on the adventure, outdoors lifestyle. F150 is a work horse. There might be some bleed over, but based on the features and my lifestyle, I’d take a R1T over and F150 any day
Our temp power boxes do have a 30a 208v receptacle for welders.... do they have adaptors for that? Hell, I could even run a 50amp cord right off the spider box feed if I wanted.
The R1T will be my first EV.... so, this might be a dumb question to some of you....
Is there typically a standard 120v connection to charge with? I’m thinking about those situations when you’re in a pinch and have to pull an extension cord out of the frunk to charge up. How long would this take...
I had an ARE tanneau cover on my Dodge Dakota for a while. They do look very nice, and create a large weather proof trunk, but I found myself removing it all the time to carry bulkier items. I prefer just an open bed now a days.
Well.... guess I’ll be a bit bulky. My Tepui is 56x48x12 .... aka “The flying Brick” I might trade it in for a hard shell RTT and just put a rack on the bed to raise it up over the roof line. It will cost me some range, but when on dirt roads the aerodynamics aren’t quite as crucial as they are...
Features wish list...

2) 12v accessory outlets in the back seat, and frunk.
3) A textured armrest on the back doors so my dog can be a happy girl with her head out the window.
4) Power window in the back that fully...
I’ve always said to my diesel friends... “When someone makes an electric truck that is as capable as my Ram 2500, I’ll buy it.” Y’all already have my $1k... will be selling the Cummins winter 2020
I hope that the front bumper is a solid aluminum bumper, built to withstand a deer strike. I also hope that the underbody protection will suffice as rock sliders do for most off road overlanding vehicles
I was thinking about cheating with a little Honda generator as emergency backup for my week long trips into the Mojave or Death Valley... not sure I’d want to give up the cargo space for that huge auxiliary battery. Now if I were towing a travel trailer out to Yellowstone or something.... that’s...
