I carry a spare, and the Rivian jack works just fine. I've used it with no issues. That being said, my frunk is full of recovery gear, including a plug kit and I have a Hi-lift jack.
I don't think it will fit with an electric tonneau closed. The fridge is 17.2", while bed is 17". I have the Rocky 41qt and it fits great. https://www.bougerv.com/products/rocky-12v-camp-fridge
Backing in is where I find the cameras to be indispensable. The top-down view allows perfect centering, and the backup camera lets me know exactly how far I am from what's behind me. The only use for the tilting mirrors I have is to see how close my wheel is to the curb when parallel parking...
I WANT to be able to tilt them. I just want the default behavior to be to NOT tilt, but when I push the button when parallel parking, they do tilt. For most people I would think parallel parking is the exception, not the rule, so it should default to only tilting when you choose for them to tilt.
Does anyone else think the mirror tilt on reverse functionality is backwards? I only need that functionality when I'm parallel parking, but I'm doing back-in/nose-in parking 95% of the time, so I am always pressing the button to untilt the mirrors, and it doesn't reliably work 20% of the time. I...
I was concerned about that when I got my tent, but in practice it's less than 5 minutes to fold it up and go. It would take me way longer to breakdown a ground tent, and I really don't want to leave my tent or anything else unattended at a campsite. Sleeping in the bed isn't an option for me...
I have a Roof Nest Condor 2 Overland and it is fantastic. Roomy, easy to set up, and the aluminum shell is rugged and you can attach things to it. It is heavier than most, but it sits below the roofline and has virtually zero impact on my range.
I do this too. My speedo is also 1 MPH fast. It really bugs me, especially since my old RAM truck was dead on. I asked Rivian service about it and they said it's within tolerance, so they won't do anything about it.
Well that's bizarre. I would have sworn I saw them yesterday, but I just hopped in the truck to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, and they are not there.
I have a BougeRV Rocky 41QT. Fits nicely under the tonneau, and would still fit with a bed slide. So far it hasbeen working great. It has a 12V DC barrel plug as well as an AC adapter, so I can plug it directly into the bed outlet. It maintains temperature very well, even on scorchingly hot...
Although, as Matt would say, “if traction boards got you out, you were never really stuck in the first place.” 😁
Matt often recovers a stuck vehicle by just getting in and driving it out. Decades of off-roading experience is an important factor.
Exactly. The YouTube algorithms almost require clickbait in order for your videos to get seen. There are a number of videos that explain how the algorithms work and how your channel will get buried if you don't have titles that people click on.
I’m a big MORR fan (he’s good people), and I don’t think I have heard him or his crew badmouth an EV truck. The video titles are just part of trying to game the YouTube algorithms.
Could have something to do with people changing lanes using driver assist. When it pulls in behind another, closer car, it slows rapidly to increase the distance between itself and the car in front. It does this regardless of how far a trailing car might be behind it.
