Gen 1 T here. I noted the same condition yesterday. Had the HVAC system replaced and new carpet last September. I'll be taking it in again in a few days.
Glad to see this partnership happening. Like others on this thread have mentioned, it would be a huge selling point for Rivian customers for you and Rivian come up with a running board/slider that is acceptable for ALL Rivian service centers. It is aggravating to have to remove the RB's...
I kinda agree with you, I don't think Rivian will offer running boards or rock sliders for R2. I'm glad your experience with SC's in your area is more consistent than here in the NW. I too installed EV Sportline rb's on my T given that their website claims that they will not interfere with...
If you have a chance, could you see how it handles the followng:
Changing ride height, drive modes while driving
Starting battery preconditioning while driving
Thanks!
Not sure if you already own a Rivian yet, so if you're aware of what I add below please forgive.
My better half and I are in the same situation. We have had a '22 T for nearly 4 years now and we love it. We have installed aftermarket running boards which have helped immensely. I have not...
Hopefully, the accessories for R2 will include OE running boards. Unless I missed something somewhere the R2 specs indicate a 9.8" ground clearance. The R1S at "kneel" is about 8.1". I really don't want to bother with the "running boards on or off" hassle for each SC I potentially would have...
Thanks for the post. What--if anything--should I read into the fact that as yet I have never seen an R2 with a sharkfin antenna? Not even on the validation builds. Anyone have a idea?
Mahalo for the great story and photos! As a bit of an audio geek, I have to ask how you feel about the audio in your new Quad versus the Meridian audio. Is it comparable?
I have a '22 T and have used the Discount Tire here in Bellingham twice now. I have my own oucks, however they were familiar with Rivians and have their own. The shop here did not use a lift but floor jacks. FWIW, before I pull my T into the service bay, I drop the lift point covers so...
I'm booked for service in Bothell for the AC drain plugging issue in mid Sept. I see several of us posting here have appointments before I do. I'm curious to know how it went for y'all. I'll look forward to your comments and any helpful hints you may have. I'll be coming from B'ham area...
Rivian markets these as "adventure" vehicle built to include off-road capabilities. Rivian needs to develop an in house option for running boards and sliders that once installed will not require customers to remove them (or pay upwards of $400 to have them removed) in order to have the vehicles...
