Count me as one of them. I have no use for this half-baked AI stuff, yet the latest updates have caused cruise control/UHF to be broken randomly on some drives. I got in the car at the airport last night, tired after a long flight, and then couldn't use cruise control for the hour long drive...
This is absolutely my biggest complaint and will be the number one reason I won't buy another R1 if they don't do something about it. I just had half shafts and ting washers done, but it still feels/sounds like crap over rough pavement at lower speeds.
The electronic door handles are a close...
The calendar integration is so limited it's laughable.
1. Only one calendar -- Even my in-laws, who are generally not tech-savvy, have more than one calendar.
2. Only works with Google -- my family's all on the Apple ecosystem and we have all sorts of shared calendars and calendar...
Another huge miss: the calendar integration is so limited it’s basically worthless. It supports one account, and it better be a Google account.
I have like 5 Google accounts (for different businesses I’m involved with) plus my personal family calendars in Apple iCloud, including a bunch of iCal...
Lots of issues...on every page reload the app can't decide if it's connected to my Rivian account or not. Sometimes it shows that it is, sometimes it isn't, and I can't really do anything.
This is AFTER I completed the account connection process successfully:
Then if I refresh the page a few...
I'm trying to plan a 2500 mile road trip we're taking in a few weeks and currently swearing (a lot) at ABRP and its terrible UI/UX. I just submitted a request for a beta account.
@occmpls2025 Did you ever get anywhere with this? I have what seems to be the same problem at low speeds, service center says it's normal and it matches how their loaner feels...it drives me nuts. I'm curious to know what you did that improved the situation.
My overall efficiency with these after 1k miles is around 2.15 mi/kWh but that's still with some reasonably colder weather and lots of Sport mode driving in there (full time AWD, no auto-lowering, not being gentle on the throttle).
On a recent 1 hour trip in All Purpose mode, auto height, in...
After ~5 months with my R1S...I'm not sure. And it almost all comes down to the suspension, and how it's not smooth/quiet at around-town speeds no matter what I do, regardless of whether I have 20" or 22" wheels, etc. I love almost everything else about it (some minor build quality issues aside...
I mean, they'd be insane not to...boxy off-roaders have been a hot market for years. Toyota with the 4Runner and Land Cruiser, Ford Bronco, Jeep of course, Nissan just announced they're bringing back the Xterra, hell Honda has the "Trailsport" version of the Passport for crying out loud and it...
There's been a lot of discussion about this, particularly in 2024 when the gen2 first showed up. But there doesn't seem to be anything that can be done about it.
I agree the door handles/door action in general feels gross and cheap. People getting in my car frequently think something is wrong...
I strongly suspect this is the route I'm going...that I'm just going to have to complain a lot but not much is actually going to change because it's a design defect.
I would buy that immediately. I don't need hugely adjustable air suspension, I'd rather have something simpler and more reliable, but still with the third row and all the space.
What you're describing is exactly how mine is. It seems random. Some days, it's fine, but if it's not fine, the booming and sloppiness are especially noticeable in Soft. Switching to Firm/Moderate lessens the effect and eventually it mostly goes away. Then Soft will be fine again.
I can't find...
Some companies really don't like to make money. If I had a nickel for every time a business made it unnaturally hard to buy their product...I'd have at least a few hundred bucks 🤣
I got my Goodyears from Discount Tire (aka America's Tire) which is the gold standard around here....I think...
I remember that color. That had quite a bit of gold in it, as I recall.
That era was peak VW. I kinda wanted that gen Passat with the W8 and the manual.
