For Sale, front skid plate from Weistec. Sturdy aluminum skid plate to replace the inexplicably feeble factory plastic skid plate. A must for serious off-roading. New in box. Fits all R1 years and models. $300.
Central California. Not really interested in shipping this bulky container, but...
I have the Weistec rock sliders, and have been very pleased with them. I did the installation myself, which was simply and straightforward. To me they look OEM. They are very sturdy, and have a powder coated finish which provides a nice grippiness. They also offer good protection for the paint...

Central California. Not really interested in shipping this bulky container, but negotiable if you are interested in paying the shipping. Will consider meeting somewhere in the middle. I included actual...
It seems like you have a well-designed, useful app. I have done 2k and 5k road trips in my R1S, but unfortunately I have nothing planned in the near future. If something comes up, I'd be very interested. I wish you best of luck in completing it.
I have the Weistec sliders which I have been very pleased with. Easy 1-man installation, and to me they look factory spec. There's a nice grip on the surface, and they also keep lots of nasty stuff off my paint (along with my BestEVMod mudflaps). As a bonus, they also serve as nice rash guards...
My experience with Rivian self-driving is that it remains well short of ready for prime time. Not sure I'll ever buy it, but no way in it's current state.
You should have little trouble. Last fall I completed a 5k road trip from Central Cal through Las Vegas then east as far as Missouri and Iowa. On the way back I went through Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and the west coast states. The only semi-stressful stretches were through...
Since the last update I've been having a related issue. Proximity locking/unlocking is working, but when I get into the vehicle, about 30% of the time my phone is not recognized as a key. I have to remove it from my pocket and then it is recognized. I'm Samsung, Gen 2 R1S.
I fully agree that Rivian's self driving is still not ready for prime time, and certainly not worth paying for. I generally only use it on longer road trips (I have done a 2k mi trip and a 5k mi trip). It is handy and helps relieve fatigue, but still far too many glitches and unexpected behavior...
I have an R1S Tri-motor on factory 20" rims and tires. I keep the ride setting on "Soft" and I find it to be an extremely smooth, comfortable ride. This is especially noticeable when the road is not good.
