  1. SoonishEV TubThumper (Rivian R1T Subwoofer Upgrade) & TopoCharge Gen2 Wireless Phone Charger Upgraded

This is a fair price for the box and wiring. I made my own that is near identical. It cost about $75 in materials and at least four hours of labor to DIY. Should be possible to cut the hole bigger and put in a JL 10 TW1 (that's what I used). Volume will be right for it. Definitely a...
  2. R1T (Gen 1) Subwoofer Install - Stealth Mode (Factory Location)

I didn't keep track of them with enough precision to be of use to you. I'd recommend pulling out the factory sub, building a shape out of cardboard and tape to leave with him - or bring your truck to him for the day while he builds it.
  3. R1T (Gen 1) Subwoofer Install - Stealth Mode (Factory Location)

Siless 80mil from Amazon. Found it easy to install and applied it to entire under-storage bin area as well as the plastic bottom of storage bin. I don't have experience with alternative products but very happy with the result - no rattling.
  4. R1T (Gen 1) Subwoofer Install - Stealth Mode (Factory Location)

I don't have a photo of it, but one of the other install threads had it. It's in the bundle just under the carpet by existing subwoofer. Mine is gen1, I'm sure gen2 wiring is different.
  5. R1T (Gen 1) Subwoofer Install - Stealth Mode (Factory Location)

Has not been an issue. There is air space behind the cargo bin where the amp lives. Efficient amps like this that are designed for small spaces should be fine, it's probably more air space and flow than the factory amp has.
  6. R1T (Gen 1) Subwoofer Install - Stealth Mode (Factory Location)

Here are a couple while building and test-fitting. The box is nothing fancy, just 1/2" MDF, a rectangle to fill the space with a couple notches for protruding bits. A fiberglass box would have been nicer and could follow the nooks, but reality is I won't ever see the box again unless there...
  7. R1T (Gen 1) Subwoofer Install - Stealth Mode (Factory Location)

It does, but I didn't find it turned on/off reliably. If I remember right it was staying on after the audio shut down. I didn't spend much time trying to get it to work as I knew from others that the switched pink wire was inches away.
  8. Gen 1 R1T aftermarket subwoofer box install in gear tunnel

Glad to see this tried, thought about putting the sub in gear tunnel when I did mine but ended up custom box that fits in stock location. If you want to hack the stock sub up you could bolt the top back in to hide the amp and make the interior portion look factory. How much difference was it...
  9. R1T (Gen 1) Subwoofer Install - Stealth Mode (Factory Location)

There's an opportunity for someone to manufacture a "JL Stealth Box" style solution that bolts in place of the stock sub. Not enough of us to justify the effort relative to more common vehicles I guess, but I would have bought rather than built if an option existed. A local audio shop should...
  10. R1T (Gen 1) Subwoofer Install - Stealth Mode (Factory Location)

Factory "subwoofer" needed an upgrade. Wanted to keep all factory storage and keep things stealth. Installed a 10" subwoofer and amp to power it in the factory location, with 100% original finished look. 10" JL 10TW1-4 - requires very little front clearance and likes small boxes (.35cf...
  11. My R1T Tailgate Kickstand DIY (3D Print)

Added STL file to original post. I recommend printing in ABS with 100% infill - printed fine on Bambu A1 with no enclosure. It snaps on and stays without any adhesive, at least so far. Will add a dab of silicone if it ever falls off but the friction fit seems good enough. Glad it's of...
  12. My R1T Tailgate Kickstand DIY (3D Print)

I install and remove the tailgate pad for carrying bikes frequently, and got sick of holding up the spring loaded flap with my head to install it, so designed and 3d printed a "kickstand" that uses the cargo loops as a latch to hold it up while I install/remove the pad. Sharing in case anyone...
  13. DIY Charging Puck Mod

I really like the mini logo rubber mat, but I like chargers that charge too, so down to the workshop I went. Cut a hole the size of a Qi2 charging puck. Routed out a slot in the underside of the mat for the flat usb-c cable (plugs in to usb-c in center console). Sanded the bottom of the rubber...
  14. Connecticut WTB: Charging Pad Cover

Looking for a gen 1 charging pad rubber cover, only need the cover - the one with the Rivian logo pattern. Hoping someone has one laying around they'd part with for a reasonable price. Thanks!
  15. Gen 1 Vampire Drain (Possibly) Solved (or Hacked)

Annoying, was hoping the 120v did not require the entire vehicle to wake - but guess it does. There must be some way to power a trickle charger from the HV pack...
  16. Gen 1 Vampire Drain (Possibly) Solved (or Hacked)

Appreciate the creative thinking in this thread. Can the trickle charger be plugged in to the vehicle's own 120v outlets? It looks like the 120v is powered by the HV battery - there would be conversion loss 400VDC-->120VAC-->12VDC but for a trickle charger it might not be enough to matter...
