Need to revive this. I switched to Toyo open country at3 ev, and have this vibration at 65. Ran about 5000 miles and had tires rotated and balance check. Now it's doing it at 40mph! Guy originally told me it was a known issue with Rivian steering system. Road force was 15lbs they said. They have...
Just got a new set of the at3 ev LT a couple days ago! I made a quick video of the road noise from the old ones to new ones on the same day, on the same road, and speed. Definitely notice a littler more play cornering but thats one of my lowest concerns. Got for snow performance durability and...
Smoother writing on sidewall and better sidewall lugs...I just don't see it really offsetting but a few hundred $ over 3-4 years isnt that big of a deal either. Both are expensive.
Just saw that they now have the LT open country EV version! LT275 /65 R20 126S E1 BSW. They are 517 per tire vs 435 for the regular LT open country. I wonder if I should make the move to the EV version or is it all a gimmick?
It's almost like they are both CEOs of large public companies that have a feuduciary duty to shareholders not their customers. Only saving grace for Rivian would be using AI to train with Rivians software and hardware stacks and or buying rights to use Teslas far superior trained data.
The at fault always pays deductible because it's their insurance not yours. Hate how much these Rivians are to fix. Our insurance will go up for each accident a Rivian gets in. Hoping Scout actually cares about repairability. I'll be jumping ship if they succeed as a company
Yeah I paid 73k for my 23 launch edition R1T in launch green with free Off road package and free Ocean Coast interior. Heck I probably won't get another Rivian because the value to me at 73k is hard to be at peace with. I'm very interested to see what scout ends up actually costing.
Nice writeup. I don't care about my louder tire noises but the suspension and panel clunks on my 23 Launch edition drive me nuts. So does the dash rattle that they replaced but still rattles.
I am very surprised you like your auto clutch? I would hate to not have the choice to ride with 4wd in...
Ooooh can you compare R5 to LT3s? I care most about snow performance and second the ride quality. I'm on 20at, so would likely go LT3s...plus I have long commute down in Denver so trying to balance winter snow board trips safely and my daily drive
It does bother me how underpowered the adas and compute is in gen1. The cameras are also far worse then our 2019 Hyundai Palisade. At the premium we are paying for these, I find this gen1 technology suite to be pretty crappy. I like the UX, but it is very clearly underpowered in all ways which...
Bit late here but it totally is worthless...that is why they have the Google cast behind a paywall when it's using data from your phone to do so. C+ is not worth the price and although I kinda miss my Spotify app, it needs more value to be popular among people.
Biggest issue for me on this R1t is all the suspension rattles and noises. Our Hyundai Palisade is smoother and quieter on road cracks and washboards with traditional coil springs and shocks. I hate driving this "quiet" truck without music on :(
I've had my Launch Edition R1t Since September, ~10500 miles now. had a reservation since May of 2019. I have been following the threads here for years with people mentioning replacing their second or third windshield, and several posts about very mild pressure on the roof busting the glass...
