Not entirely true of EV AC performance. Reguardless of how the compressor is powered, a moving vehicle provides cooler AC. If that were not the case, there would be no need for the condensor in the front of the vehicle.
That said, EV's can be left "on" while you shop so you return to a cold...
I just pulled the numbers from my recent road trip in my MY from TeslaFi. Over a 100 mile leg, average speed of 74 mph, 83 max, it got 2.96. Temps started high then we ran into some rain dropping the temps to 73.
The R2 isn't that far off my 2022 MY.
