Does adding lights like those affect the warranty? I was about to do it last winter (a body shop Rivian recommended said they could install it) but read somewhere about it affecting the cars warranty.
I found that the sensors can go out when snow is stuck to them. I've had times when even after wiping them clean they still don't work unless I reset the car, or just letting it sleep and wake up. Also remember you can call an actual person on Rivian roadside assistance, besides the AI on the app.
1. Drive slow (<25 mph), especially going downhill, and when making a turn. But on uphill get momentum and don't stop on the middle of the hill (Rivian manual also says to use momentum going uphill in snow). Maybe keep in snow mode to stay in AWD.
2. Carry a snow shovel and snow brush in the...
I have a house in the mountains that gets tons of snow and looses power a lot. I also have the Bluetti AC 180P battery generator and put that in the kitchen to run the refrigerator and other things and plug its AC cord into an extension cord going to the Rivian AC outlet in the garage. I just...
With the latest update with the digital key, I found you can now use Siri on an Apple watch (or iphone) to lock or unlock the Rivian by just saying 'hey siri, unlock (or lock) Rivian." I find this useful since I don't like using the passive lock/unlock since I have to park at work every day...
I had the same problem last winter (see my comment above) and did write a comment on the app. I don't think there's an easy fix with the Rivian's high very white lighting. And they changed the fog lights to turn signals with the gen 2. Given the lights can change color as demonstrated by the...
Mine is not working either now. Tried to reset phone but not car yet. Was working a few days ago, but couldn’t unlock doors with phone app after turning it on. So was glitchy then. At least Google cast is still working, which stoped working about 6 months ago, and just started working again...
It's paved, but the Tioga pass road into Yosemite from the east side is spectacular. Off of Tioga pass road there is a short dirt road (1.8 miles) that does allow cars to a trailhead to a short hike to May Lake, which you can camp at (you may need reservations). Below is a link. Did the...
I frequently drive up 80 to Tahoe and seem to lose about 10 miles of range per 1000 feet of climbing (so like an extra 70 miles of range is needed to get up to Donner summit at 7000 feet). The Rivian navigation map is pretty accurate at predicting this too. So you can add that on to the extra...
Anyone have an update on this issue? After a soft and hard resent, I still get the warning backing out of the garage (which I did not get prior to the latest update), and it does not go off even after the car has completely backed out of the garage (in response to FooF) unless I get out of the...
I think this is not normal behavior as it just started happening to me for the first time this week (also only when parked in my garage, as it did not happen yesterday afternoon parked perpendicular on a street). So I just reset the software this morning, and it went away. I'll see if it says...
I had this same problem driving at night to Tahoe on I80 in a mild snowstorm and before chain restrictions (so traffic was moving faster), and I could not see the road (just super white snow flakes) and had to try to follow other cars. The Rivian headlights are too high and white and make the...
