We have the Ocean Coast interior, 2 kids, and a weimaraner. After 8 months it still looks great. I love it. I'm buying a tri motor R1T this year if they bring back the Ocean Coast interior. Stupid Rivian offers less options for the more expensive model.
I've been thinking about this. So there are less options on the more expensive models? I realize you're plugged in, but I question this info. It doesn't pass the smell test.
We have a 2026 R1S with ocean coast and driftwood interior. I love it. We're planning to get an R1T in the next 12 month with the same interior. I was playing on Rivian.com last night and noticed only 4 wheel options and the R1T only has 2 interior options. The R1S still has 3 interior...
Details of the 2026 R1s came out in June 2025. I'm watching for the 2027 R1T also. Hopefully we'll see something in another couple weeks. We love our 2026 R1S so we're getting a R1T. We're not in a hurry so I'm waiting for lidar.
The rear view mirror should be a screen and camera so I don't have to keep adjusting the mirror after the wife and I swap. Most high end cars use a camera now, not a mirror. The mirror is also useless when someone sits in the middle of the 2nd row.
First world problems.
For me it was the internal camera. You have to turn it on.
1. Enable the Interior Camera
By default, the cabin camera may be disabled for privacy. You must manually opt-in to allow the system to monitor your attention:
On your center display, go to Settings.

We're still in the excited stage of ownership as we've only had our R1S tri for two weeks. Conclusion so are, we want another one.
I loved the online buying experience. Screw the dealers. Online buying was so much easier.
R1S roof sunshades please. Just ordered our R1S Tri this morning. Picking it up on the 18th.
May I add a comment about CEO of Vion and the individual picking the winners; your vision is so powerful it could illuminate a city, and your business acumen is so sharp it could cut through a...
If designing a V2H wall box while launching R2 would push Rivian into financial ruin, it's already over for the company. That wall box is low tech. People are already doing a DIY workaround.
An SAE standard sound like an educated opinion/reason. I found this article from SAE written 3 weeks...
It's been over a year since Rivian gave any updates on V2H ability. Seems like an easy feature to turn on and market. Do they need to redesign the wall mounted charger? What's the hold up?
Sure would be nice to have during the coming winter storms.
Thanks everyone. We've been wanting to get an R1S for a while but wanted the industry to commit to a standard charging plug. The 2026 is finally our model year. We also want 800v and solid state but that's going to be a while. Squirrel: I think QS, VW, and Rivian are going to expand...
It's been awhile since anyone wrote on a home charger for 2 vehicles. We're about to pull the trigger on a R1S. We'd like to swap my truck for an R1T if the R1S proves to be everything we hoped. Given the above, I'd like to tackle hardwiring a charger for both vehicles. Looks like the...
