It almost sounds like one of the vanes or whatever directs the airflow is loose and at a certain angle and fan speed will be reproducible.
For what it’s worth, my wife’s R2 does not make this noise...
This was my experience in Tempe. They'd be super chatty via text, then cancel and I couldn't get ahold of anyone via email, text, or phone. It was almost like they muted my text conversation until they were ready to reschedule.
I'd definitely get ahold of the manager at the service center...
Finally took delivery!
Final timeline: order submitted 6/17
Vin: 7/3
Delivery scheduled for 8/1, delayed to 8/20 with charge port wiring issues.
Build looks better than my 28xx vin R1T LE but the hood needs a slight adjustment.
My wife loves it. I’ve been allowed to drive it around the block...
For the module? I think it was fixed within a few days. Still waiting for my delivery though. Supposedly the Tempe SC ordered the wiring harness at the same time as the module, but it wasn't shipped until just a few days ago (via ground instead of overnight!).
I'd let your delivery person know...
I've got VIN 2405 (mis-typed this in my first post), and my delivery was postponed because of a bad module. They also discovered a bent charge pin that needed a new wiring harness.
Update on my saga: Rivian corporate reached out this morning. RJ (or someone in his office), does scan emails for these things.
Did y’all see a Catalina Cove with 20” ATs sitting there? Maybe I could swap vins with one of those. 😂
As expected, another canceled delivery. Like before, the Tempe SC seems to be rather unconcerned. Anyone have any leads on whom to escalate this at Rivian corporate?
To be clear: I'm not looking for money back, freebies, "compensation" or for them to make parts appear out of thin air...
This delay will push me to at least 19 days delayed at this point. Probably 20-21 days by the time they put the part in and I can get down to Tempe to pick it up.
Two deliveries rescheduled hours before pickup: one for "a minor broken part," then rescheduled again two hours before delivery for...
I have a new pickup date! However, less than 24 hours later, they delayed it due to shipping. The wiring harness was supposed to deliver Friday Aug 14. It was shipped, but their system shows "delayed" until Aug 19. Guess the "please expedite" request was missed and it was shipped ground.
At...
Again, I get it. Stuff happens.
The voicemail made it seem like they were putting the replacement part in that morning despite being delivered four days earlier. Again, this delivery team hasn't been real clear on what "part" was broken in the first place (other than it was a "simple fix"), or...
Fair enough, but I don’t think that is an excuse to cancel two deliveries hours before they’re scheduled. It’s a real bad look for the brand. Especially since the car sat there for a week between the two pre delivery inspections…
I have VIN 2800 something. First pickup date with Tempe was 8/1. Pickup canceled at 4:45 p.m. on 7/31 for a "broken part." They rescheduled for 8/7 at 2:00 p.m. At 12:30 p.m. on 8/7, pickup was canceled due to a "bent charge pin" that was discovered when they installed the replacement part. No...
There’s a matte wrapped Launch Green R1T that lives not too far from me. It just looks like matte green. Doesn’t change the tone much from my Launch Green R1T with the normal clear wrap. If we park next to each other, the colors are very similar.
Launch Green is the best color, but I’m biased…
Seconding this. I’ve had really good experiences in Tempe. I’ve had some larger warranty issues pop up lately, and they’ve been really good at diagnosing them and getting repairs done relatively quickly. Good group of people over there, and they’re really fun to chat with.
Installed the 20” LTs on my R1T a few days ago.
Took my kid and wife to Flagstaff to play in the mud and leaves and these tires are a breath of fresh air from my stock Pirellis. Nothing too muddy or rocky today but they felt way better than the Pirellis on some of the rocky and rutted sections...
I had this happen at Tesla and EA stations but oddly not RAN stations. I’d bounce around between 60kW and 200 kW for a bit then get the slightly terrifying warning saying “charging stopped, plug locked. Wait 15 seconds to disconnect.”
There was an issue with the temperature sensor in the...
