What change did you notice? I just had mine swapped out (dead within 24 months of last death), and I notice my sleep time is way longer than it was before.
If they failed within 24 months of the prior replacement, then that SC is lying to you or doesn’t realize every invoice they print puts a 24 month parts warranty on any installed part. I would ask for the money back if you paid out of pocket.
There is currently someone at Rivian who seems to be...
I don’t think the RIDE LV maintenance status is a health indicator. I think it only says when it is or isn’t charging the 12v battery. I’ve had it move frequently between both without any 12v warning message. It’s a bit poorly name IMHO.
Nog just the 12v warning—if the truck isn’t going to sleep either, then it’s detecting lower than expected voltage, which is typically a sign of a dying 12v battery. Not sure how that would work with the Ohmmu 12v LFP battery though.
Just a point of clarification since there seems to be ongoing confusion about Rivian 12v warranty support—if they were replaced last year, the 3 year original battery warranty being expired is moot. You received an explicit 24 month parts warranty with the invoice for your last replacement. They...
Just thought I'd share that the mobile tech here in Sonoma County said that all V1 warranty fixes will be done with a V1 tonneau. Not sure if I believe that (especially since there's a point where V1 parts will all be gone), but thought I'd share.
I'm on the fence with waiting for mine to die...
This has been my experience. New half shafts, hubs, dampers, gen2 subframe, jounce lines, and air compressor. Truck feels fantastic. I hope this lasts.
Just a note for those getting a half shaft replaced, don’t let them do it without replacing the hub/bearing. Old hubs will be worn down and won’t mate correctly with a brand new HS, especially if you get an updated part. You’ll notice a periodic knocking on slow speed turns as the wheel rotates...
Good to know. Randy is a stand up guy, especially since their SC took a month or so to finally fix all my suspension issues. Always made sure I had a loaner and even dropped my truck off on two occasions after they kept missing fixes. Never had a problem getting in quickly when the issues...
So an update for anyone who has extensive front suspension work like I have (nearly every part replaced)—be sure to have them check your control arm bushings.
The fixes exposed another issue, I’m guessing because tensions are higher with a non-flexing welded subframe, because I now get a...
As mentioned in the 12v thread, I ordered two sets.
I'm curious now what BT19BL-BS LiFePO4 batteries might now be compatible, if any, other than Ohmmu (who I haven't seen address the poor build quality photos from a couple years ago for their Rivian batteries).
What's fascinating to me is...
Ordered! You're a gentleman and a scholar saving us from an expensive service appointment and overpriced AGM batteries.
I ordered two sets, I assume that's four based on the language on the store page?
Awesome! And looks like even though they didn't do the dampers, they did a lot of other things too.
In my case I think they noticed a small leak in the dampers, hence the replacement.
Glad they were able to swap it out. It's a big difference.
Wassym does frequent the /r/Rivian sub, but I agree that if we would all make service tickets it'll probably get fixed faster. I think many people asking if they have a similar problem are really trying to confirm if they're the only one or if it's global, which is a fair thing to do.
I haven't seen a huge AC difference in my 2022 R1T other than maybe it seems slower?
I have seen a BIG difference in the ventilated seats not really blowing anything on the highest setting. There's a huge Reddit thread about it.
I opened a ticket after seeing that thread and emphasized it's...
If you still have clicks and pops, I would escalate that to the service phone number and let them know. It’s clearly not normal or they wouldn’t be swapping out subframes and other suspension components.
Oh, I agree Discord is the lesser of those evils. GitHub often feels like it was designed by Evo Shandor to bring back Gozer from whatever evil plane of existence it lives in. Especially when you start getting into the forks in OSS.
I’m grateful we seem have a good Comma community already to...
So, like many I had the snaps and pops when turning my wheel on my 2022 R1T. I took it in and they ended up doing the Gen2 cast aluminum subframe retrofit, new half-shafts and dampers, new air pump, new jounce lines (if you have squeeky squeeky in your suspension, there's a TSB for that), and a...
