I’m currently in discussions with the service department at El Segundo. Apparently if you don’t tell them that there is a problem with your truck even if it shows up in the dash and is visible to the naked eye, they will not fix it even when it is under warranty. They apparently can’t go into...
Mine has 68k . Front center light is out and charger port pins are melted. Going to be about 6k. Rivian says they are all out of warranty. Love the truck but feeling this is going to get expensive. Either going to sell it or try to find a good extended warranty to get another year or two...
I have over 16k on mine. Got it in early April. Something I found interesting is my front and back tires are cupping the same. Worse in the front though. I was driving in conserve mode (front wheel drive) a lot and think that added to the increased cupping in the front tires. I’m leaving it in...
14,000 miles and all I have to show for it is a broken tonneau cover. Rivian opened it permanently until they have a repair. Call me an uninformed beta tester but i paid roughly $1,400 for those 14,000 miles of driving vs $6,000 in gas that I would have paid for those miles waiting for others...
Its not the $$$ that are the problem. It’s the weight. Sure you could make thicker glass. Sure you could make thicker body panels. But at the sacrifice of what? Thinner under armor? Thinner bed floor? Or do you start compromising on the range? Or the acceleration? Maybe the window company...
Hmm. Give me an all electric truck with 4 motors and 860 HP with 300+ miles of range but ALSO make sure it has thick heavy glass on the roof and windshield…. I would hope most of you realize there will always be some give and take with these things. I’ll take the HP/4 motors/300 range over...
I think you would probably be happier buying your Rivian from a dealership. There was one listed a little while back at a Porsche dealer in Texas I think. ? whatever floats your boat. Me personally, I’d figure out how to work it out with my guide to get the truck bought.
If people think that it’s all roses with the other auto makers, they are being silly. The supply chain is affecting everyone. Don’t pretend that Rivian is the only one not getting cars out the door.
And if you think all the other car makers are putting out a consistently better product, you...
Trucks been working well for me so far. I bought a horse paddock pad and cut it to fit my bed. It’s super thick but works for now. Will by something thinner when it comes out. I keep all my dirty tools in the bed with the tonneau closed and the clean ones in the gear tunnel. Currently...
Just wanting to change it up. Didn’t know if anybody was feeling like they wanted to have 22s instead of their 20s. I’m located in the Santa Barbara, Ventura area.
Anybody consider using the perforated window film on the top of the moon roof. You can get it in white. I’m thinking it would help immensely. My glass gets pretty hot during the day in Southern California.
I concur completely. Rivian could easily add a locking feature in off-road mode. But I don’t think it very practical. It would be more of a gimmick like the tank turn. You can get all the same places with it or without it. It will just take some figuring out how the truck drives.
I only loosened the one bolt here and moved the door in per the arrow. I will loosen and retorque the bolt on the upper hinge so there is no binding but I’m not planning on moving the bolt in on the upper hinge. The top half of the door is aligned to my liking. Thanks for the tip.
