Hmmm. I'm beginning to think there was some change done from pre-production to production. Which happens to all vehicles across various materials, designs, and features but, it'll be a huge miss if they went cheap on the halo wheels. Lots of people are commenting on SM how they are surprised and...
Not great timing. Summer heat is coming (already here in some places) and they launch without pet mode?
How's the audio? I test drove an R2 yesterday and the sound was honestly kinda horrible. To be fair, the test vehicle had only 200 miles so its probably not broken in. I spent 10 min of my 30...
Interesting. That would mean Launch Editions will be completed by August. So roughly 2 months of LE vehicles being delivered. Doesn't seem like they will make that many.
Definitely not liking the residual for the R2 at $38070. Was thinking of leasing the R2 while I wait for the R3X but not sure it makes financial sense.
If you have patience on long road trips to stop a lot and to stop for extended periods of time, then the R2 shouldnt be a problem from that pov. Since the R2 is an unknown wrt to reliability and serviceability, I would keep an eye on that before you sell the Subaru. Having to do a 3hr round trip...
Risky? Just depends on your appetite for long drives. Just have the expectation that you may have to pay for your own alternative transportation or tow truck if its not covered by Rivian. I've seen a ton of folks on here who live hundreds of miles away complaining about Rivian not covering the...
Hate to break it to current R1 owners who reserved day one but you're going to get passed up by non-owners. Looks like no one else here noticed the statement:
"Current Rivian owners will receive accelerated delivery timing, balanced alongside deliveries to non-owners to keep the line moving for...
Ice/Snow is one thing but that eventually melts. I think the bigger issue are leaves, dirt, debris, etc getting in there and either blocking drainage or blocking the wiper itself. In the PNW, with all the growth, moss and moisture, there's definitely going to be stuff that gets in there and/or...
Unfortunately Rivian does not get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to audio because they have tweaked and fiddled with R1 audio via OTA for 3 years with mixed/mediocre results. Meridian was amazing out of the gate because Meridian knows whats it’s doing.
Rivian might be learning but...
Guess the crossbars aren't the only thing not compatible between the R1 and R2. Looks like were going to need jack pucks unique to this design. Strange choice.
Its a little more than just adding the Lidar. Rivian also has to install the Rivian Autonomy Platform (RAP). If its as easy as plug and play then manufacturing will be straight forward, but I suspect it might be more complicated. And between when customer deliveries start and they are ready to...
