I'm pretty sure as a R1T owner I will be underwhelmed by some aspects of the R2 but I know that going in. The R2 will be a superior daily driver and weekend warrior but corner cases and extreme adventuring the R1T will reign supreme. Half the price but more than half the vehicle? I think so.
Sure, if you like watching hours upon hours of unedited, stream of consciousness, content.
He wanted to make sure his hurt feelings were known to Rivian with a little "screw you".
40K miles on my LE R1T. Was in service more than 10 times in 3 eyars and total cost of repairs was over $35k. Most of it covered under warranty. I sold the truck due to concerns how much it'd cost to maintain post warranty.
AI's answer: The humming noise from a parked EV usually comes from the thermal management system or electronic components. It typically happens when the vehicle is preconditioning (heating/cooling the battery), maintaining cabin temperature, charging the 12V battery, or cooling down after a drive.
Rivian had it on display for a few months after reveal back in 2024 but no one has really seen it since. Calculated move probably because it was so popular and had more buzz than the R2. They certainly have been hiding it as they’ve moved towards the R2 release this year. I’d imagine we won’t...
Any predictions or thoughts on how the Premium and Standard versions of the R2 will drive and ride? Goes without saying the Performance trim will have better ride handling and comfort but how much better? Would like to know if it’s worth the cost to get the Performance trim with semi active...
Not as big a difference as I thought. Need to see in person.
This is a good comparison of the color vs and existing color on Tesla.

Yeah, it was likely the previous demo driver. Inconsiderate of them to not lower it. Rivian probably should have some procedure to "reset" the vehicle before each drive.
Never heard of this product and its not cheap but hard to argue with the results at least based on the looks in the photo.
Did you prep the surface with clay first or just wash?
This is exactly why Rivian created the LE before LiDAR is available. If they didn't incentivize customers to buy them now, a lot would just wait for the LiDAR version since its not that far away.
Except that fact that all three are non-Rivian owners. I don't think its bindly random but there's...
Doubt it. It would make current Launch Edition owners pretty pissed I imagine. Rivian had to incentivize the non-LiDAR R2 which is why they are throwing in Autonomy+, tow package and the key fob with the LE. Once LiDAR/RAP is ready, I'm pretty sure LE will stop being made. Or those with early...
In case you weren't aware, the 21" wheels on the R2 have 255/55R21 tires. I did a search online and did not find a single tire option other than the OEM Pirelli Scorpion MS. Those run ~$450 each. You'll have basically zero options unless/until other manufacturers make this size.
