    Do you have any evidence for this claim? It clearly operates just fine at slow speed. If you engage it over 20mph, and then slow down, it stays engaged and functions properly.

    I don't understand your point. You're saying that it's safe for the car to manage speed and not crash at 70mph, but not safe for the car to do that at lower speeds?

    I solid safety measure would be to engage the CC at the 5mph speed that the car is moving when the driver engages it, and not some arbitrary 20mph number that is too fast for the conditions.

    That's why, like in a Tesla, it's useful to be able to set it to lower speeds. There's no technological limitation here, it's just some wonk decided they didn't like cruise control below 20mph
