Curious about this too. I like going down to Mexico but won’t take my EV’s. Also have a MY and R1S. Haven’t looked into the charging but I’m worried about getting hit in the R1. I’ve been hit multiple times over the years across the border. They do not care, just drive away.

Anyone else heading out to Ocotillo Wells for TDS this weekend in their Rivian? Has anyone been before other Rivian? Excited to check it out and camp for Friday night.

Came here to say exactly that. I drive my R1S everywhere unless towing where I take my F-150. Nice choice in vehicles ;)

Like seeing more charging stations going up and RAN has always been reliable in my experience. Unfortunately the RAN is always last on my list for charging stations as I’ve found it to be the most expensive on my road trips. Maybe just where I’m mostly at, the SW US. Mainly California and Arizona.

Yeah, really a bummer with Cali regulations. I bought the travel kitchen and had to ship it to a friend in AZ. He could’ve shipped it to me but I was able to pick it up out there a couple months later.

I’m sure you have but play around with suspension settings. Some modes are a little rougher especially lowering it. I keep everything moderate and it rides fine. Still a truck but I knew that’s what I was getting. Also owned Land Cruisers and Range Rovers, this def drives more like a cruiser...

Pretty much same story. Mine just started working again today. Now I can’t get the inside music / screens to turn off lol. Not doing anything about it because I want to show the kids when they’re ready before it gets dark. Def some issues to work out.

Unfortunately, it stopped working. I voted my nephews over to check it out and it completely stopped working. Bummer

im not sure about the external speakers. I think gen 1 has all the interior features and sounds but not the external. I know the lightbar has changed. There is an external volume speaker in app for the Halloween theme. I was able to turn it all the way up for the kiddos/neighbors. Everyone...

Where did you mount the awning on the crossbars? Were you able to fit the mounts on top or have to find a side mount for awning? Can you post pictures?

I’m here for the same info. I ended up buying the rooftop tent from Rivian. Trying to figure out the best awning to fit on the crossbars as well. Please let me know if you’ve gotten anymore info.

Added! Replacing my model y as well. Love my R1 and can’t wait for the smaller one. Put a reservation on the R2 the day after I picked up my R1S!
