Good day, all. Every morning I have to toggle on Driver Attention Detection, Autonomy Features, and Rivian Mobile App. They toggle off when my R1S sits. Seems to have started with the last update. Is this a known issue?
Six months later and Weavegrid hasn't finalized the relationship with Rivian such that my utility can provide TOU pricing (which is less). I don't understand the hold up.
...and I'm still waiting for MD license plates. Those in MD who have been through the process - how long does it typically take to receive your license plates?
This is the at least the second time I've seen reference to 3W's mats not fitting the gen2. Maybe I missed it, but why doesn't 3W address this with the community and confirm what @Mellowyellow and others have stated? A plus would be to tell the community if a new, gen2 design is in the works...
Same can be said for social media. Whoever felt it appropriate to pay witless content creators for clicks/views should be the subject of a public stoning.

Agreed - in my limited ownership I certainly have noticed turning mobile cam off/on from the app has been difficult. In addition, I walked up to my R1S on the passenger side last night and it didn't wake up and present handles. About 20 seconds later I walked around to the driver's side and...
There is no way an EV OEM would spend crazy money in the audio department. I would love Sonus Faber speakers and Michi components (like my home stereo), but that’s not feasible…largely because my home stereo is similar in price to my R1S.
I agree on the subwoofer. The G2 audio is lacking...
I had a 2021 Model S (the first facelift). No ambient lighting in that $90K car was inexcusable. Minimalistic is okay but the interior was pretty bad. I went through 3 yokes before Tesla finally used a better material.
I agree - the audio should be much better in a $100K vehicle, but $100K doesn't seem to go very far these days. At least the interior is a substantial upgrade over the Model S I had beforehand.
As a new Rivian owner, I'll admit to not having focused much on RJ's or Rivian's story. @BrayBay - when you think about the headwinds faced by Rivian as you laid them out, it's definitely impressive.
Weavegrid is very interesting. Everything was fine when I had my Model S. No ToU relationship with Rivian, but if I had a Chargepoint, Wallbox or Emporia charger I would get ToU pricing. Seems a little ridiculous that my Tesla Gen 3 charger doesn't qualify.
I used WeaveGrid when I had my Tesla for, among other things, a better ToU rate. Unfortunately, WeaveGrid BGE doesn't have integrated charging solutions yet with Rivian here in MD, so I assume my charging cost at home will be the same as typical offpeak usage meaning no ToU rate. I'll know more...
