  1. Rivian pricing has rolled back to "pre March 1" for previous order holders

My canceled order has also not been reinstated, although I did receive an e-mail last week where they said it should be restored this week.
  2. R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

I'm out as well. Aug 2019 LE holder but at this price and with communications only getting worse I'm not interested in giving Rivian my business.
  3. Cancelling R1T Preorder - Reasons

This is similar to where I've landed as well. I'm a single car household and had a Tesla Model3 for a year and 11,000 miles as an experiment of sorts into how an EV would work for me. What I learned is that an EV is certainly doable, but the Tesla supercharger network was a huge part of...
  4. ? Rivian Sends Delivery Window E-Mail. What’s Your Dates? => Vote in Poll!

Yeah, I'm not mad about the delays themselves, those happen with any major new product launch and with the pandemic it was more than expected. I placed my order over 2 years ago and while I think it's still impressive what they're doing/have done, the novelty has long since worn off and now I...
  5. Colorado Checking In

R1S LE, August 2019 reservation date with a June-July 2022 updated delivery date. Glad to see all the progress on the center.
  6. ? Rivian Sends Delivery Window E-Mail. What’s Your Dates? => Vote in Poll!

Denver here as well. Aug 2019 Reservation for an R1S LE (no off road pack). My e-mail said my new delivery date was June - July 2022. I truly don't care anymore, I'm not going to cancel my pre-order but I have lost all interest in the vehicle and company at this point.
  7. Has anyone on this forum received a confirmed delivery date?

Same for me. I've quit following anything Rivian related on any regular basis. The truck will arrive when it arrives but at this point any enthusiasm and interest I had in the company has really waned due to their poor communication.
  8. Colorado Checking In

August 2019 for me. I was over that way Sunday and did a drive by. Obviously being a Sunday on a holiday weekend there was no activity, from the outside you really can't tell much but hopefully they're making good progress.
  9. Motor Trend Review: The 2022 Rivian R1T Is the Most Remarkable Pickup We’ve Ever Driven

Doesn't the S still have the wiper controls on a stalk to the left of the steering column? While I do think the auto sensing feature on my Model3 was worse than most cars I've owned (IIRC Tesla decided to use the cameras to regulate wiping frequency instead of a true sensor), the biggest...
  10. Motor Trend Review: The 2022 Rivian R1T Is the Most Remarkable Pickup We’ve Ever Driven

Thanks, hopefully that's still the case. On a positive note there doesn't seem to be any icons for wipers in the images of the screens.
  11. Motor Trend Review: The 2022 Rivian R1T Is the Most Remarkable Pickup We’ve Ever Driven

Have they said (or perhaps @DuckTruck or someone who attended the event will know) how the wipers will be controlled? As a former Tesla owner I hated the controls being in the screen, especially since the rain sensing feature was basically useless and all changes to wiper speed required...
  12. Answers & info from lunch w/ Rivian's Sr. Director of Customer Engagement Center

I've been wondering about this as well. Given the logistics that go into these I would have to think that if they are really happening in September they know the dates, times, etc. I know there's still 6 weeks before the end of September but as you mention several of us would travel to these...
  13. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities (Pics & Updates)

Thanks for the update and context! November would certainly be great.
  14. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities (Pics & Updates)

Thanks for the update, I've been meaning to make my way by there again but haven't yet. At this pace it seems reasonable that it will be the end of the year at best before they would be in a position to open and start deliveries here.
  15. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities (Pics & Updates)

Thanks for taking time to find these. I looked at the job postings today and 2 positions are no longer posted so hopefully that's a sign of more progress.
  16. RJ Scaringe: first Rivian R1T deliveries delayed from July 2021 until September

It didn't have anything to do with the fact it was an EV. In fact I bought the Model3 to see how an EV would work for trips, etc. The Model3 certainly did its job in proving that an EV is what I prefer and charging isn't really an issue (granted the Supercharger network helped with that but...
  17. Delay Placeholder Vehicles

Colorado here as well. I had a Model3 that was "OK" but certainly didn't go all the places I wanted to go in the mountains so I traded for a 2022 Defender 90 P400. I miss having an EV but I love the Defender and am glad I can go wherever I want again.
  18. RJ Scaringe: first Rivian R1T deliveries delayed from July 2021 until September

This is what I did a couple of weeks ago (except I got the Defender instead of a truck). The Model3 was great at showing me the EV world is for me, but it didn't fit my lifestyle and I wasn't going through another winter with it.
  19. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities (Pics & Updates)

Thanks for sharing all the pictures from the Denver service center! Glad to see some work occurring, every time I've been by there it's either been closed or I didn't feel comfortable walking up with all the workers there.
