    Maryland’s process around returning plates is horrible. I doubt it’s Rivians fault. I returned plates last year and had to sit through hours of calling to verify they were returned and fight a BS “lapse in insurance” penalty, FWIW

    Do you know the circumstances around your neighbors truck? Maybe they’re an employee or an employee friend? Maybe they got offered a different spec than they originally ordered?
