You can add it using the Apple Watch Shortcuts and Complications. I have had the complications setup on my Apple Watch to control my R1T for the past 18 months. Here is a link to the YouTube tutorial: This says it is for an Ultra, but I have it on a series 8 Apple Watch.

Is there not a button to open and close it like on the R1T?

Is it ok to leave a 7 pin to 4 pin adapter plugged in after disconnecting a trailer? It is difficult to seat the adapter fully and I would like to leave it plugged in. If the hitch cover is installed the adapter is mostly protected from the elements.
