Maybe I should make a new topic but does anyone else notice no safety Nannieās are enabled anytime you use *any* RAD tuning. That is a major problem and means I canāt run these custom modes due to liability. This is not a development mode. This is not an off road only mode ā- I see NO reason...
AI/Gemini summary:
The BMW iX and Rivian R1T represent two fundamentally different philosophies in EV braking design. While the BMW iX uses a highly advanced "brake-by-wire" system that prioritizes a seamless, "gas-car-like" pedal feel, the Rivian R1T utilizes a traditional hydraulic setup...
Wow, I'm reading that the brake pedal in the Rivian is primarily a friction brake. in my outgoing BMW iX had a blended brake pedal where light braking still was primarily regenerative and became progressively friction-preferred with heavier braking. That said, the regenerative braking is much...
Your tesla was thousands of pounds less than your R1T. These brakes are also undersized. Also 85k isn't low mileage by any stretch.
Hopefully they continue to work on these wear issues, and sorry for the expense!
Issues/quirks:
1. Car came with multiple dents. Rivian made it right; reimbursed me for PDR but the car had been sitting there ready for delivery for 10 days --they should have noticed.
2. Screen complexity - core vehicle functions buried in menus.
3. No physical buttons for...
My god I wish mine wouldn't unlock. Mine unlocks from in the living room, if I'm walking anywhere in the house adjacent to the garage which is pretty much everywhere. May need to turn off remote entry. First world problem indeed.
My charging habits have been pretty consistent because I like to work within resilient, flexible systems.
I charge to 80% everyday with the R1; 90% with the iX (turn-in at lease end next week). Inevitably, with the kids, thereās a day here or there I forget to charge and the everyday habit...
as to whether there was a hybrid setup I canāt seem to find a clear answer for that even thought I had read that previously . The tri either has one enduro, two ascents; three ascents or three enduros.
And if there is confusion itās bc of this crap.

ā
Rivian went from using externally sourced Bosch motors in Gen 1 to fully in-house designed Ascent motors in Gen 2 Quad. That change has a massive impact...
how can you be so belligerently wrong? They are āascendā motors (I do realize now I used a t instead of a d). The quad does not use the enduro motors. Sorry not sorry.
This is based on some bad assumptions. The quad has FOUR NEW MOTORS and half shafts instead of a hybrid system with one old enduro motor and two ascent motors. The new motors are more efficient with better thermals.
