Had a friend who called Yakima to get the necessary parts for his Toyota Tacoma to be able to support this but it was $1,600 not worth it.
I love my Rivian and I plan to keep it until it becomes a pain in the ass. Hopefully that's at least 150k miles. I tend to put 25k miles on a year on the island.

I was worried about service too. I live on the big island. When I first received the car there was a small list of things that needed servicing. It took two visits to clear the issues. Since then I haven't had any problems.
My windshield was cracked after visiting Puna on the big island. Kraftsman Auto body in Kona fixed it an amazing job. Classy organization. They needed it for 2 days. First day was install second day calibration.
Currently using state farm on the big island. It's $170 every 6 months.
