I was worried about service too. I live on the big island. When I first received the car there was a small list of things that needed servicing. It took two visits to clear the issues. Since then I haven't had any problems.

My windshield was cracked after visiting Puna on the big island. Kraftsman Auto body in Kona fixed it an amazing job. Classy organization. They needed it for 2 days. First day was install second day calibration.

Currently using state farm on the big island. It's $170 every 6 months. Had a broken windshield but just paid outright to the shop to prevent rates raising. Planning on using it when there is no choice.
