I have been going to Pep Boys in Mystic for tire rotations and summer/winter swaps on my MY, and will be doing the same when my R1S arrives. I asked if they would be able to do the same for the R1S and was assured they have Rivian pucks and have worked on several. Great experience

I'm going with a separate set of wheels for the R5s to make it easier to swap them out. I figure if I'm doing that I might as well go down to the 20" for the reasons @Tightt posted above.

I'm not too worried about esthetics in the winter, just need a great snow tire as well travel to Ottawa monthly to see our grandkids. Turns out the Michelin doesn't come in the proper load rating so I'm looking at the Nokian Hakkapeliita R5. Thanks for the input.

I'm looking at the Michelin X-Ice Snow as I've had good luck with them on my Tesla MY and the wife's Sienna. Tire Rack is recommending stepping down to 20" wheels for snow tires. Any reason not to do this?

I have a brand NIB VIAIR 985C dual receiver compressor that I am considering installing in the 2026 R1S Dual Max that we are picking up in two weeks. My thought is that it is a more robust compressor that will last longer and inflate things more quickly. Has anyone done anything similar?

The Tesla is owned, (financed through USSFCU), not leased. It is USSFCU that seemingly isn't allowing this transaction as Rivian itself isn't buying the vehicle from me, but rather Cox Automotive (3rd party in the transaction).

I ordered a 2026 R1S Dual Max and looking to trade-in my 2023 MY. Thing is it is financed through US Senate FCU and they don't allow for payout through 3rd party dealers. The message says "Lessor's buyout statement doesn't allow 3rd party dealer buyouts." I am waiting for a reply from Rivian...
