I came within one click reserving one. Probably will reserve after September. Maybe more info will come out, but I think I will do it anyway since I do want to get in line. Do you think I will get it before the end of next year if I reserve it in September of this year??
I don't think Rivian will go away and any indication otherwise should not be interpreted that way. I just mean I need to wait and see how the roll out will proceed and get customer and expert opinions after both models have worn some tread in real world environment.
All of that makes sense.
I guess I will have to decide when more in-depth reviews of actual user experience and expert reviews come out this year.
The RS1 is the SUV that I want. Rivian, hopefully, will come out with greater details before I put down $1,000.00 to reserve it. Don't want...
I hope that is the case. Just wish Rivian would release more detail information on these types of issues prior to me depositing $1,000.00. I had a deposit on the Lucid Air Touring, but decided to pull it, not because of these issues, but because I wanted an EV SUV. It was within this thread...

After reading these threads it appears there is no EV that currently can replace or upgrade the battery packs when they die. Making any EV that only has a useful life of 0. after the batteries go bad in 8 -10 years makes no sense to me. This is not for me, at least until they come up with a...
I won't buy it without a plan by Rivian is in place. My plan was to keep this for quite awhile and then resell it. If there is no residual value then it's not worth buying.
Wow. Thanks for the responses. Now I am more concerned about it than I was before. Selling it before the warranty may prove difficult because selling the Rivian or any other EV will be difficult since the issues I raised will become more prevalent in the next 2 - 4 years. Given your...
Basic Concerns: 1) Location of Service Centers, 2)Charging (level 3) in and around or close proximity of Charleston SC & Myrtle Beach), 3) Battery degradation over life of vehicle, 4)Trade-in capabilities, 5)Long-term Partnership information promoting longevity of the company, 6) Battery...
